You see, Matt hasn’t had the best relationship with his parents.His father ran out on him and his mother Kiki when Matt was just about ready to be born. Matt never got the chance to meet him although if he did he would have loathed him. The only thing he was interested in was hanging at the bar with his buds.

This lead Kiki the young mother to start working two jobs, one of them being a job that you wouldn’t normally jump at the chance to take. It was of the illegal nature. almost every night Kiki would be out with a new “companion“ only for her to return to her son in the wee hours of the morning.

This led Matt to see many different people coming in and out of his life and he became distrustful to those who tried to get close to him. Even people who were school peers wanting to be his friend. He opted for crude and some times often cruel pranks to ensure that no one would ever get close to him. If someone persisted his prank would get more intense and sometimes dangerous and would act colder than he normally would.

This isn’t to say Matt is actually bad. In fact he is the complete opposite. Often times he would think of having friends or if he’d see a group of people he would imagine if he was a part of that group. He longed for friendships but he was also afraid of connecting with people on an emotional level.

Because Matt was alone he took up hobbies like Writing, Painting, and even took up playing the piano once he saved enough to buy one. He writes everything from fiction to non-fiction and even sci-fi stories. He painted realism and scenery. When he tickled the ivories it was like the music was playing straight from the depths of his soul. It seemed chipper and happy but there were always such sad undertones to the melody he played.
