She had left the note for the Doctor intentionally, asking him to meet her there — proper year and time — telling him she had to collect an ancient text that may or may not have disappeared a thousand years prior to the current era and he was more than welcome to join her on the hunt for that. Only it wasn't really missing. She was just going to… take it back.

a sigh splits lips, head tipping back and he huffs again. an admittance of defeat in its own right though the doctor would never say so out loud, or he'd never hear the end of it. river is rather good at misbehaving, and he's always liked it. liked getting knee deep in the mess of it right along with her. it's why they worked so well, and why they bumped heads so often.
