Sure, Lang rubbed him the wrong way from what Miles had told him about him but the fact that he was offering him a chance to explain what happened was rather generous considering a lot of people didn’t.

It had long since been decided that if she was at Miles’ office, she’d use her real name- but quietly insist on the alias that had practically become her name in five years. Granted, it was something Jinx had decided on herself- she doubt the few who did know her name knew this plan of hers. 

He was making small talk, yeah, but he was still in shock honestly. When had Miles taken her in? He seriously needed to talk to him now. They apparently had a lot of catching up to do.
