hi everyone <3 i hope you like this year's prompt list! here is this year's collection, which i'm going to open sometime on january 31.

a few notes:

the collection is unmoderated and i am not reading each individual entry. please be mindful of your fellow participants and tag and warn as is appropriate!

this is a pan-fandom event. all pairings from all fandoms are welcome, no exceptions. no anti nonsense will be tolerated, and if you see any please send me a note so i can ban that person from participating.

there are no minimum participation requirements for this event. you can do some, all, or none, and the prompt fills don't have to be posted the day of—this is just a guideline to hopefully help spark your creativity in a tough month of the year! in the past, people have even combined multiple prompts for one larger work. whatever you want! just try to keep the theme in mind.

the use of AI in any capacity is not permitted. that includes for artwork, writing, and editing. if i discover that AI has been used, the submission will be removed and the participant banned.

leave comments! we all do our best to create for ourselves, but communities are only as strong as the participants. the best way to encourage others to comment on your stuff is to lead by example—be the change!

Standard Blog Rules & FAQ

No inc*st or p*dophilia - we can’t keep you from writing it or creating art for it but it will not be reblogged.

No hate or ship bashing - we are all different and we all love different things. As long as it does not go against rule # 1, it is allowed.

Tag correctly! Trigger warnings (including cheating!), ships, ratings, (pure) smut, etc - is all fine as long as you tag it.

There is absolutely no word count. It can be as short and as long as you would like to make it.

In regards to art, anything goes: drawings, paintings, collages, mood boards, gif sets, videos, playlist… the sky’s the limit (though not really…)

While we can not force you to write fluff or crest fluffy art, please try to keep in mind that this is a fluff event! 🧡

You can start writing and/or rating as soon as you see this - but please refrain from posting before the respective day. We have released this early as we want to give those who need time to plan everything out a chance to join.

You can participate on as many days as you like, even if it’s just one: you can also create multiple entries for the same day.

You can replace prompts from the original list with either or all of our extra prompts; you can also mix them with the original prompts or create for them in addition to the 29 original prompts, that’s completely up to you!

It is okay to write one story/a series for all the prompts as long as it’s separated into chapters and the respective chapter/work is posted on the given day.

You do not have to stick to one ship! Or even one fandom! Switch as often as you would like to or even write for multiple ships in one day! This is the month of love after all!

THE SHIP DOES NOT HAVE TO BE A ROMANTIC ONE! Friend and Family feels are more than welcome. There is more than just romantic love!

This event is currently not combined with Whumpruary.

Alright. It is September again, which means we have three months left until Fluffcember. This should give you more than enough time to prepare - and I am going to post the lists (plural) for this year's challenge.

As you might notice: I learned from the entire "it is summer in the southern hemisphere" thing. And as such I decided it is only fair to just make two lists this year. One with winter-themed prompts as usual, and one with summer themed prompts. It is up to you which one you use, or whether you mix and match.

This does not mean necessarily that there will be no "Fluffcember in July" next year - I will probably make a poll about that in February.

Welcome to No Nut Kinkvember 2025, post edit 2.

You see these prompts? No Nut Kinkvember is about turning these prompts into a sex thing. How you turn them into a sex thing is entirely up to you, along with what kind of sex thing you turn them into, and creativity is encouraged. It's also okay and encouraged to write about a kink without necessarily writing about direct smut!

How seriously you want to take these prompts is another thing entirely up to you. Maybe you want to write a piece about edging while on hold on the phone. Maybe you have a blorbo who would think it's a good idea to try using bread dough as lube. If you want to get silly with it, creativity is always encouraged!

(Despite what the namesake of No Nut November means: yes, you are allowed to nut to this event. Or maybe you, the reader, want to turn this into an arousal denial thing as you read through submissions! The world is your oyster.)

(Side note: when adding "chastity belt", I knew it would basically be a freebie. That being said, I forgot it was already an established kink, possibly making it too easy. I've decided to leave that day as a form of free space. You can still do the original prompt, or come up with your own if you have the inspiration!)

This year is essentially a trial run event. If I decide to run this event again next year, I hope to add more to it, like swap prompts and art! :]

What are the rules?

FULL DISCLOSURE: this is my first time running an event. Thank you to everyone who's been patient with me and asked questions about the rules + given feedback about the rules!!! I'm assembling a mod team with more event experience, and as of this edit, mod applications will go out at a later date! Thankfully, this blog already has a new mod that will help with applications.

The main focus of the event, this year, is writing, but art is allowed too! Unfortunately, I don't have the mod capacity to reblog art (again, this year) to the host blog, but feel free to post art to the Tumblr tag! I just won't reblog it. 😅

Any and all kinks are allowed. Just make sure to tag all kinks present in the work, and add warnings as applicable in a typical AO3 submission.

Do not harass people for their submitted work, for any reason. Yes, this includes for their kinks.

This is a universal fandom event! Anyone of any fandom can join. OCs are welcome too!

When I first made these rules, I didn't know original work uploaded to AO3 for an event would inherently count as fannish, and therefore allowed in AO3's TOS. Once again, thank you to the people who let me know about this! To update this rule: original works on AO3 will be allowed and added to the collection.

If your writing is self-contained in a Tumblr post, as opposed to linking from somewhere else, please add a read more at most after an introductory paragraph or two.

Are there any rules at all?

Sure.

No AI use. If you need an LLM to write your schlock for you, consider a long walk off a short pier. If you need it to do your editing for you, use a beta reader instead. A stick figure drawn on the back of a napkin is better than soulless AI art.

Tag appropriately. 'Creator Chose Not to Use Archive Warnings' means anything goes. 'No Archive Warnings Apply' means your work is guaranteed not to contain any of the major archive warnings (non-con, major character death, graphic violence, or underage sex).

No irl bigotry. Your characters can be problematic as all get out, but if you try to post a weird pro-JK Rowling essay or something you're not going in the collection, bud. Don't kill the vibes.
