Into the vastness of it all

You’ve seen your world in ashes, been tied down and hopeless, you’ve been there and you’ve seen it all. And still, you persisted. Doesn’t that say something about you?

Remind yourself of the most difficult thing you ever got through. Now remember: no one can take that deed away from you.

Care deeply enough and you’ll be surprised by your own courage.

They did not expect you to fight. They expected you to cower down, bow before them, accept the fate that they had thought out for you. All the more satisfying, then, to smirk up at them through the blood, saying i'm not done yet. You have no idea of the extent of my defiance.

I will persist. Through all the trials of this world, through all the hardships, all the way down to hell i will persist. I am not done with this world yet. You will still see my proudest hour.

Repeat it until it sticks. Carve it in. Brand the skin.
