telling a cis woman I just think it would be more radical if she got phalloplasty
oh yeah you would? ok go do it
go get one or stop making jokes out of the idea of being a woman with a penis
Things aren't supposed to end anymore.
It's not enough to make something that's good. The culture of wrapping your entire personality around a thing has made it rewarding for studios and suits to make sure that your personality is fed so you keep consuming.
Live service games with dripfed updates. Shows that go season after season after season. Movies with shoehorned sequels with a story that doesn't fit with the last.
If you make something that's good, finishing it is just the start.
It's become all so risk averse. You liked this game once, play it again and again. We put these characters from a story you liked into something else. We remastered this movie to sell again. The script is safe. Don't you like the script? Don't you like replaying the motions?
New ideas are risky, so they're never bet on in a serious way. They always have so much less backing them because they're unlikely to make a significant return on investment.
Replay the same scene over again because people liked that. Make them pay to see it. it's cheaper. you know it will get attention. you know it will make its fair return.
You can't sell software anymore. It needs updates. It needs a subscription. If it cost a lot to make it, you never stop paying.
These things aren't inherently bad, but when it becomes the entire modern language for making things, it becomes stale.
Sequels made by passionate people with a bigger budget able to polish their art more into a full finished production, those are wonderful.
Live services that are constantly being improved on and have a real, material running cost for holding your subscription, sure that can make sense.
Remakes and reshoots can be a wonderful way to show modern audiences a classic without any barriers to entry such as accessibility or maybe even hardware prerequisites for games.
None of this is bad alone, but not a lot new makes headlines.
I don't watch anything glitch productions makes. I'm just not really interested in all honesty, but I do appreciate what they're doing even if it's not perfect. Because they're writing new stories for a now large audience.
Some people are already requesting a season two. Not that I don't trust the producers to do it well if attempted, but they never planned on that. The story is done, wrapped up in a little bow. If you reran it, tried making something new from this world that was never kept in mind when making the original, you risk so fucking much just trying to not disrespect the first
Nintendo direct just came out in the last week. I didn't watch it live, but just skimming through
Now how many of these are new. Even just not knowing Every Game Series Ever, there are so many re-do's and sequels that I can count of the things I've never heard of on both hands. They ended the presentation on a remake of a game that's been out for what's almost 30 years now.
Hey unrelated question did you know that the current 7th best selling console ever, the Wii, yeah some people play that game for free? Hey did you know that you can buy them off ebay for less than $20usd-$25usd. That's crazy idk why people would do that.

Persona fans are really mad at this because of how accurately portrays how shitty the modern franchise writes its female characters
"I will never swim again until and unless I get surgery."
"This is why I try so hard to protect my trans sister, she has to deal with so much of this all of the time."
"And this is why I will never learn how to swim"
"I never go swimming, unless it's an event that explicitely mention that Trans Women are welcome"
And other such tags I am vaguely paraphrasing are ones I have had the horror of reading on my post. The trans girls are not swimming. It feels like there is a hole in my body where my heart should be, through which all my blood is pouring. I can't.
This is just the tiniest fucking window into how transmisogyny affect people. This is about a space that was held by trans people and for trans people where the transphobia targeting a transfeminine person was prioritized over everything else.
If anyone doesn't believe how badly transfems want to swim and how badly they fucking don't get to, don't feel/aren't safe enough to do so, whatever the fuck else, just look at the comments and tags. I thought there were already too many for it to be random on a post with, at this time, about ten times the reach of this one hereabove.
And yet I have ten times as many tags and comments on this here post about trans women and transfems not swimming. Heartbroken doesn't fucking cover it. I am trying to stay sane in the face of this but I am seriously not doing a great job at it. Fucking hell.
i miss swimming.

how to be super friendly and nice with customers without it reflecting well on the corporation
the invention of USB was wonderful but I really miss actually inserting things in my computer. I want the whole device to be completely lost inside of it. Let me penetrate istg
I wanna hear my computer do things. sata is hot swappable but it's not like people usually have whole sata ssds in what's used as a flash drive. especially nvmes. I should be able to slide the whole gumstick lookin drive into the computer bay it has and I should hear it click into place and have it be in there as a little thing to take from computer to computer. but no. have your ugly little protrusion.
This is why I like disks so much. Feeding her..
