A Spell To Sever A Bond
Use to allow yourself to let go of someone you find great difficulty in parting with, or to encourage someone to let you alone when you need them to.
2 black candles
A black ribbon or string
Scissors
A needle, knife or other tool to inscribe the candle with
🌙 With the candles unlit, carve your name on one candle and the name of the person you wish to break ties with on the other.
🌙 Tie the two candles together at the middle with the ribbon, not loose but not too tightly, leaving room between them.
🌙 Light both candles and chant the following:
“These two flames burn brightly together, but one consumes the other with this link between them. No more shall I suffer from the sadness brought by (Person’s Name), no more shall I be hurt by (Person’s Name). (Person’s name), I sever my ties with thee.”
🌙 Cut the ribbon at the space between the candles and allow both to burn themselves out, then dispose of them separately, and far away from each other.
Never leave a burning candle unattended. If you cannot spare the time, consider using a smaller candle (like a birthday candle or a tea light) to shorten the burn time.
