the thing about planning to run away for a while is that you have to do it in advance because plane tickets are expensive.. how inconvenient.. i was tryyying to be spontaneous

I haven’t visited this website in months and months, i forgot it even existed. I recently remembered this adolescent little world I created and here I am, how bizarre that being back is making me reflect on so much. I feel so happy and I am wondering whether the reason I needed this outlet so much was because I was not? It is more likely that I needed to surround myself with like-minded weirdos to help discover who I am. Either way, it’s interesting to think of the endless hours I spent here, ridiculously late nights feeling satisfied by the reblogging of images that I connected with in some way. Now, I guess, we do the same thing with Instagram. Tumblr was always hidden from reality, like a gateway drug to Instagram where we now parade ourselves in front of people we know ‘irl’, perhaps because we were first brave enough to share ourselves here. I’m actually so tired and can’t type the 10 things I’m thinking of right now but I’ve documented my love here from the beginning and that fact seems to pull me back every so often. A little shout out in to the void that everything is still perfect and writing that down reminds me to always be grateful and never take advantage. I’m going to hold her too tightly right now but first, thank you, whomever/whatever, for being the outlet I needed for so long x
