I love that in the first few episodes, Victor comes off as a rather hedonistic person who indulges in food and drink, lounges about the hot springs and enjoys doing silly touristy stuff. And eventually it turns out that Victor’s life has been exclusively about skating, since his early childhood, and he pretty much forgot what joy felt like until he met Yuuri. Victor seems like a generally happy, absent-mindedly flirty person, when in fact he’s just flirty because he’s with Yuuri and he’s just happy because he’s there in Hasetsu. And the audience’s realization happens parallel with Yuuri’s realization - ‘he doesn’t act like this around everyone, he acts like this around me specifically.’

thiiiiissssssss is everything ! like victor prob never traveled purely for fun (though the first few years were exciting and new, traveling probably got just as tiresome as competing), he doesn’t really go around casually touching any other characters (even chris who he’s known for 10+ years), and he prob kept himself guarded against making any close friends or having any distractions. for the first time in forever he gets to eat whatever he wants, indulge in being unproductive, and not have skating = work as a constant cloud of fatigue overhead. anyone can relate to that overworked, void life…soooo all i want for victor’s future story arcs is him enjoying himself and having fun tbh

Such a unique project. I love the flow of your lines and your arstyle and how you made each character so personable. Like by looking at them I can feel their presence. Anyways, I just really really love your art and admire you so much
