How did you make your inkling wig??? I really want to cosplay and inkling girl and yours looks so good!!!
A lot of others have asked this so hopefully they see this! I made my entire wig / tentacle / ear-set up for my Splatoon cosplay in about 30 minutes so you can too!Β

I cut 4-way stretch PVC into fourΒ βtentacleβ shape! You need to use 4-way stretch!!! DONβT GET ANYTHING ELSE, and get the kind that is shiny color on one side, and white on the back ~Β You need four pieces total to make two tentacles. Lay them down so that the shiny PVC sides are both facing up.Β
Sew those two pieces together! Keep in mind that a regular sewing foot cannot sew onto PVC without getting caught / breaking your needle so either buy a teflon foot OR ~ put a little piece of scotch tape on the bottom of your sewing foot so it wonβt stick to the metal!Β
Once youβve sewn both pieces together USING A ZIG-ZAG STICH, clip the edges (you donβt HAVE to but you should)Β and flip it inside out. Then, STUFF IT WITH STUFFING / BATTING. Donβt use foam and donβt OVER STUFF, because itβll be heavy and not cute.Β
THEN, I just sewed both, stuffed tentacle together at the top, and used bobby pins to secure it to my hair / wig cap.Β
THEN I put a headband with my squid ears on over that. It was just a standard ass headband with the ears hot glued to the band. The ears were made of craft foam that I made nylon covers for (out of old nylons so that they would be my skin color) - I slipped the foam into the covers, sewed it shut and even added piercings!!Β
THEN β I put my wig over all that and became a squid/kid!! I made sure to cut the bangs SUUUUPER short and blunt because I wanted that cartoony look inklings have! I shaved my eyebrows OFF and redrew them hella short and slanted so I would look like a SQUID MENACE β now you can also!!!Β
