why i would die for yuki’s mc
back on my bullshit part 2, spoilers for yuki’s route
i especially love her,,, consideration? her awareness in the differences of their own individual experiences. “i feel bad for you, but i can’t say I know what you’re feeling entirely true” but also “that won’t stop me from trying to understand or relate to you”.
and she’s so,,, thoughtful. a pattern i noticed for this mc is that she digests motivations/people’s feelings towards something better than the information that is conveyed.
one thing that i ultimately respect the most out of someone, whether it be fictional or irl, is the effort to understand what you despise. and I’m not saying it in a “keep your friends close but your enemies closer” kind of way, neither am i saying it in a “if I understand you, then i can help resolve problem x with you”. it’s not out any intent other than the pure integrity of understanding another human being as they are beyond bells and whistles.
and this mc is so good at that.
here, not even in nobunaga’s route, she’s making an attempt to understand him. nobu says, if she should object, then she should also attempt to understand. mc doesn’t find this wrong, neither does she find nobu’s judgement/words to be condemning or patronising. and she’s not all “but people are dying!!”, either. she accepts his points as the way they’re meant to be taken, and reevaluates herself and her own thinking.

this literally just,,, proves that you don’t have to be intellectually driven like mitsun’s mc to have your mind changed or influenced by the present facts and reality as it is. yuki’s mc is,,,, so soft and emotional but she’s also self aware of herself and other people, enough that it makes her reconsider herself.
dude????? also can i just fucking emphasize that she accepts people’s quirks so easily?? like? that’s the general reason why she and yuki get along so easily despite being literally not even from the same time period 😩
and how she admits that, yeah, sasuke is kinda weird, but she’s not put off by it? “that’s just one of your many layers” YEAH IT IS YOU TELL EM MC
and for the second screenie it’s so nice to see,,, an mc that isn’t oblivious to her surroundings,,, I mean like personally i don’t mind and it’s endearing tbh but this was a good change of pace~
i can only put 10 screenies but akhdshd the mc uses,,, the book as her info source pretty often, and always jumps back to “OH YOU WERE IN THE BOOK” or “i feel like I’ve heard of this before,,,,”
hhhhhhhhhh she’s lovely,,,, a good caricature of an emotional but healthy person that tries her best i love her byE
