I've been there

How can I let myself be

There’s silence of suspense,
silence of thrill
silence of words that are too heavy to speak.
It falls so many times between words
that it makes one wonder
what is the nature of every silence?
What are its true colours?
What follows after each?
An outburst or tears?
Or the quiet humming of an autistic mind
gently down its path?
Can words really speak louder than silence?
Can bonds be forged without fluent silence between them?
Can anyone know the true colours
or the depth of your silence?
Or will it forever remain a mystery
that mankind can never solve.
