now why am i seeing "video game music isn't music" as a take

I have had a lot of evil people say to me that nothing taste as good as skinny feels and every time im like no im pretty sure food tastes really super good actually

people aren't wrong in saying you should have sympathy for girls with eating disorders but whenever someone uses online eating disorder communities (like ed twitter) as an example I cannot follow...like those girls are getting hate for being just straight up awful to other people who have nothing to do with them. taking someone else's photo and saying you're using it as inspiration to starve yourself is worthy of criticism

Iroh Fire Nation and Asgore Dreemurr are both interesting examples of fandom fatphobia, where they either get treated as "100 percent wholesome friend shaped goodbois who've done nothing wrong" despite their many flaws, or when their moral ambiguity is actually acknowledged it's to vilify them as "irredeemable evil monsters who deserve to suffer forever" in a way that i feel would not happen if they were skinny or at that the very least traditionally buff.

like i get why "Asgore has literally killed children" is a common response to people who act like toriel has no reason to resent him, but when people bring it up in response to any appreciation of his character, it's like do you hold this same energy for literally any other fictional child murderer or is it only the one fat guy that seems to piss you off like this.

i'm a bit biased though because i remember being a roadhog fan during the whole "junkrat and roadhog are not quirky adventure bros, they're violent murderers" era which constantly came from the same people reblogging porn of reaper fucking soldier 76 and it's like ok.....

it's wild how lack of willingness to show large amounts of your naked body in public is conflated with a discomfort or insecurity about said body. like obviously if people are motivated by those things that's also fine but it's like. "if you like your body you should want to wear as small a swimsuit as possible; the only reason to get """modest""" swimwear is if you're insecure or have religious motivations" so it's weird feeling like nah my body is awesome I just don't want every rando at the municipal pool to have visual access to it? lol. how I feel about my body is unrelated to whether strangers have a right to view it

The idea of a popular teenage subculture where girl & boys pretty much all dress the same feels impossible now but for a while it was reality and it was beautiful.
