I hope they keep building up for a whole damn year and have him completely snap on Halloween.

Bring back Hookhausen for a little bit. A couple matches. But make it clear that the spark isn't there anymore. There's something missing that can't be reconciled.

Put him in a dark place over that. Bring back Evilhausen again. Have the Best Friends confront him about it again. Maybe do it a couple times, until they have to cut ties for their own safety. He got lost in the bloodlust. If Orange Cassidy hadn't ducked out of the way of that spike...

But then, have him be praised for the bloodlust. Nice job, you're finally getting serious and moving up. The big shots finally respect him. All eyes are on him, and there's rumors that several stables are looking to get him on their side. Let Danhausen join a bad crowd.

But do they want him as an ally, or just to keep a weapon out of their rivals' hands?

None of these people are friends.

Not like he used to have.

They only like the Very Evil. They don't laugh at his jokes. They think he can flip a switch whenever and just stop being his Very Nice self. They don't believe that it's just as real as the other side.

For the climax, put Danhausen up against Hook.

Full bloodlust.

No one home upstairs.

Very Evil.

Against all odds, he wins. His new stable puts the spike in his hand to land the final blow.

And he snaps and takes them all out instead.

And among the carnage, he takes Hook's hand, hauls him up to his feet, and walks him out of the ring and backstage.
