I posted these before and after images of me making unpleasant gradient slightly more pleasant in my gc without drastically changing the main colors and they want me locked up immediately what I do
The colors used if curious
yesterday i made a beetle out of soda tabs and wire. we took the bus home.
@inkobsessedfreak I think you'll like this
W- WIRE BEETLE? MANDIBLE OF STEEL? THE COPPER DECOMPOSER? THE TAB FAMILY?
A certain video pissed me off so here's some vague counter things
"TADC characters don't interact off screen" the following scenes start mid off screen interaction or a character stumbles into an offscreen interaction or one happens, IE implied or deadass offscreen interactions
This one is fragments of interactions we don't hear
"Ragatha should've mentioned the butterfly"
If you lived for years in the circus you wouldn't bat an eye at stuff like this happening in adventures unless given a reason otherwise
"Jax dies instead of healing and being redeemed and also he's depicted as a character who isn't a horrible person"
For a guy who complained a lot about telling and not showing you sure missed the part where the show consistently shows him being awful and straight up tells you he's being awful and his abstraction scene was him being redeemed in a sense where he understands where he went wrong and owns up to it but at a point where it was too late "Jax is too unlikeable I wish he was more likable" He's not a perfectly written character but I think the point was he... I dunno Sabotaged himself from a better ending in contrast to the others who didn't abstract??? He's like a foil??? "The characters don't advance the plot 'till episode 7" The majority of what happens in episode 7 is a direct consequence of all the episodes before hand with every decision made and does steer the overarching plot while navigating this world we're thrown in with pomni. It's called pacing which wasn't nailed in the first episode, sure, but there's a reason it took a while to get to this point. When I had a writers' group one of the things we talked about was "Before you burn the village, introduce the village so the audience can grow to care" "Too much is told not shown" While in some cases it can be true but the examples shown were primarily pomni's breakdown and gangle's breakdown which is basically showing how the character reacted to the previously shown event the whole episode... Almost like we need to be shown what happened in order for the breakdown to happen... and gangle didn't really blabber on much about it at the end of the episode but we are SHOWN how she reacts after pomni leaves without words spoken, just music. And also another thing used as an example was kinger loredumping about the circus but like... The show takes place after the intial creation and whatever's brought up, save for a few, usually gets shown in a flashback so we have some context. Like the characters wouldn't organically bring up something they haven't experienced, ragatha appeared after the majority of the ogs abstracted "It should've had way more episodes" Gooseworx is the creator and makes the call of how many episodes it'll have as Glitch has repeatedly stated regardless of whether or not we need more episodes "Gooseworx admitted she doesn't know what she's doing" It's an indie show for an indie company with not a lot of professional standards the way a non indie show would.
Everyone loves indie until it has flaws that being an indie show would have given how often I hear people complain about said flaws in every new indie show that comes out.
"This one is too raunchy!" "this one has this character written in a way I feel is wrong for this character I know more about than the creator" "Its way too short! EVIL" "These designs aren't super professional" "The style isn't modern" "the style is too modern" "there's too little going on" "there's too much going on" "Redesign the characters" "but not too much" "you shouldn't have this voice actor cause I already headcannoned another" "This voice actor is being held at gunpoint to do this show I hate!" "This creator can't be friends with this creator cause I hate the things they make" "Creators should have full creative control!" "Not like that it's not my standard!"
Anyways I rambled a bit but I'm just tired of "Show don't tell" being used as a counter argument when the person clearly doesn't know what counts as showing and what counts as telling Telling instead of showing is basically only getting information through dialogue or, in some cases, directly saying x happened cause b so c must be t or explaining what happened directly to the audience (family guy does that last one a lot from what I'm told but take that with a grain of salt) Someone shown to have emotions on camera when we are shown directly what happened previously doesnt automatically qualify as telling just because its an emotion or words happen during emotional moments. "we don't know why caine thinks all he's meant to do is create as a creative ai" Say that really slowly "Kinger lost his mind and we never know why" he lost his wife and co workers and was on a mental decline since then as SHOWN and not TOLD
"Ragatha isn't justified in her crashout" her SINGULAR crashout towards Jax, right after saying ragatha doesn't get much development
are we deadass folks?

Made a new oc and feverishly worked on this final render for like 3 days It's one of dem past self with current self kinda tropes 'ere
So glad I left tiktok
cause what you mean you can't cancel a subscription unless you land on a live you're also subscribed to??? And I can't turn off subscriptions TO my channel through my own channel on my desktop??? And I can't delete my fucking account either???
For context my fiance and I left Tiktok post-joint venture cause ai corpos in america are controlling the American joint-venture thing (but also it gave me WAY too specific insights to my followers than what should legally be allowed) and this thing makes it physically impossible to NOT ONLY cancel your sub but it will also make it impossible to turn off your own subscriptions and delete your account??? Not only that but navigating this thing has become more of a nightmare than I remember already what in the helll
@inkobsessedfreak and me did a challenge where we picked 5 colors for each other and did a drawing based on them
This is mine with the color palette he gave me :3
I really wanted a margarita
he is DEVO

So the latest trend in candy appears like it's going to be more "chews" variants for some reason
Just saw today in the seasonal section they're making swedish fish and sour patch kid chews
Which, if it's a chew and not fish shaped, is it just swedish chews? Can it really be considered a fish if the shape is not in fact fish? Does the branding even have much to say anymore? Would swedish fish chews even work on a texture level? The whole appeal of swedish fish is it's a thin layer of gummy and then a layer of waxy, having too much of either feels like an imbalance but if it's not trying to be fish how does swedish fish fish chew?
Guys I think I know what zooble is now

I think so far the one lore bit I cannot unread is the implications in a dialogue option in Fallout 2 that there's no cats in the wasteland because they were eaten as a food source. Like- it's not even just because it's the idea of eating cats that has me mulling this over it's like... imagine how different the mutated biosphere in fallout 3 would be if mutated felines were a thing I haven't played vegas, 4, or 76 yet (playing them in order) but apparently they make their first actual appearence in fallout 4 despite having some mentions in previous games??? Did these lil guys just rise from the dead unscathed? Will my little meow meow outlive me?
---SLIGHT SPOILERS FOR FALLOUT---
So there ARE cats in the other games. It is a possibility that they just ate all the cats in the west coast? There are cats in 76 which is the earliest Fallout game. Also! Felines and Canines were almost untouched by radiation! So it's a little boring on the lore part but nice to know they are okay!!
As I said earlier it seems their first appearence was in fallout 4 for some reason which I'm glad they decided to keep the cats moving forward :D but its nice to know they just aren't as touched by radiation. I appreciate how in fallout 3 you can get a perk that means wild animals won't attack you, not applying to naturally hostile ones like the fire ants and rad-scorpions. In Wolfenstein dogs are a main enemy so atp if I play a bethesda game I just assume I'll have to attack a dog at some point You do bring up a good point with the fact that it's the west coast specifically, fallout 1 and 2 taking place in california while fallout 3 is more east coast. Still playing through 3 and have yet to hear any mentions of cats but there's interesting implications bug wise with the ant experiments I've been playing them in order and I have high hopes for new vegas but I'm a little afraid for 76 as I was there for the dreaded launch day catastrophe lmao Although so far fallout 1 is my first fave, fallout 3 being second. Fallout 2 I just kinda couldn't get as into as I did the first and that's probably because it was developed and launched within months of the first ones release
F76 had an AWFUL launch but over the years they have fixed it up into a really nice and fun experience! Some of the kindest players and online community ive ever come across. I hope you have a good time when you make your way around to it :3
I also felt this was a good time to bring up Mr Pebbles. Who was, as you can see, the first cat in space. A national hero. Thank you, Mr Pebbles
bethesda give me a Mr pebbles poster and my life is yours
