1. Where did you get the idea for the Kids names? Ellie and Riley? Like what's the origin behind them if you don't mind me asking.

2. Are those also the names of the kids in the bots or is it up to us what we want to name them and if so is it alright if we do use Riley and Ellie as the names?

3. I saw on Sydney's like carrd thing in her relationship tab that her s/O is "Catherine Dunlap" Is that actually her full name because I thought Cate was her full first name lol and cuz when I checked in Google it doesn't show anything about Catherine and it's Just Cate smh

4. Not really a question but HOLY HELL do I wanna know more about Cate like her time at God-U from the first day and also Caleb like could he still be alive? How would Cate's life change had she not accidentally used her powers on him and if he too had powers, how he would look like and how he would interact with the gang especially Luke lmao(If she's still with him in the case Caleb lived cuz ya never know how drastic the changes are if Caleb lived like surely she wouldn't have been caged like that, maybe not have even met Shetty but I doubt it because her power is very useful and strong, and her personality would probably change a lot if she experienced a proper childhood and parental love and actually have a life instead of being caged up like a criminal)

honestly not a lot of thought went into the name riley😭 i just personally really liked the name lol. but i also like that it’s gender neutral like sydney’s name, so it felt perfect for their first baby. ellie had a bit more thought behind it though! once i decided sydney’s mom’s name would be eleanor, i thought ellie would be a cute little nod to her no matter the timeline. in canon, sydney’s mom was really important to her and one of the only people in the house who wasn’t cruel to her all the time, so accidentally causing her death obviously left a huge mark on sydney. but in non-canon timelines i didn’t want to use the exact same name, so ellie felt softer and more natural :)

i try to make the bots as flexible as possible, so most (if not all) should be coded in a way where you can choose your own names for the kids! but i absolutely don’t mind if people use riley and ellie hehe go for it<3

cate doesn’t canonically HAVE a confirmed full first name, so technically no! i just did some guess work/worldbuilding there. personally, i almost always hear cate used as a nickname rather than a full given name, so it made sense to me that hers would be short for something too. i figured based on her background (white family, scottish surname, probably christian upbringing) that catherine felt the most likely.

i DO plan to eventually explore basically all of cate’s time at godU in my canon insert sydney series, so hopefully that satisfies some curiosity in the future hehe. as for caleb, i personally think it’s very unlikely he survived, and probably less likely that he had powers… though post s2 we know marie's sister annabeth did, so i guess it’s definitely possible he could have too. but yeah, if caleb had survived and/or the whole “sending him away” situation never happened, cate’s life would have been DRASTICALLY different. she probably never gets locked away, maybe never even meets shetty, likely never dates luke, etc. her entire personality and emotional development would be fundamentally changed because so much of who cate becomes is shaped by that trauma and isolation. ALSO i personally headcanon older caleb’s faceclaim as brandon flynn in any non-canon au where he appears hehe. that’s who i picture while writing him at least, if that helps you visually :)

basically, it’s premiering at tribeca film festival in the 6th which, to my knowledge, means it’s only viewable to attendees of the festival for now.

film festivals are usually used to showcase movies in the hopes of securing distribution afterwards, so ideally a company (like neon, a24, etc.) picks it up and funds a wider release.

unfortunately i don’t know yet if breeder has secured wider distribution, but i am REALLY hoping it does because i’m super excited for all of maddie’s upcoming projects. not just because she’s in them (though that is definitely a factor lol) but because they all genuinely sound really interesting.

life/work has been increasingly busy lately, especially with the next few weeks, but hopefully things will calm down a bit in july…we’ll see lol. work has been sort of slow right now though (not to jinx myself), so thankfully that should mean more downtime to spend editing everything i've been working on and releasing stuff for you all<3

that’s the beauty of reading (and writing) though!!! you get to actively learn and expand your vocabulary<3 never be afraid to google words you don’t know (though that’s getting harder and harder now with the ai overview nonsense😭) but trust me, there’s nothing embarrassing about that at all! i still use my trusty onelook thesaurus all the time when writing hehe :)

also i genuinely write because i love writing and i do this primarily for myself, which is why it stays fun and doesn’t start feeling like a chore. it’s just a really lovely bonus that other people enjoy it too<3
