eh sure.
happy birthday, satoru gojo. <3
Thinking about a Silent Hill verse where Satoru is either tortured by Suguru's death à la 2 style or Silent Hill f style where his personal hell is being confined to the Gojo clan's expectations and responsibilities à la Kotoyuki style.

Her words did nothing to dissuade him... still the man stood in front of her beloved sun, blocking that comforting warmth. A soft sigh emanated from parted lips as Frieren pulled herself into a sitting position, brows furrowing slightly.
"........That's an abrupt request ...." she did not question him on how he knew her, not when there was a statue of the hero's party in this very town.
"May I ask why? I doubt I have anything all that interesting to offer you ...."
“You can offer me your experience. After all, there’s power in that, isn’t there?” Satoru presses.
He doesn’t expect a yes out of her… yet. But he’s a persistent thing, and he’s certain that he’ll get one out of her before she leaves the town.
“I won’t hide it from you. I’m a mage in the making, and I don’t think there’s a better mentor out there than one that’s been in the Hero Party. Truth be told, Miss Frieren, few have handled me as a student. But… I think we could work.”
--- ❝ Oh? I thought, well, with you being the strongest and all - ❞ ALOOFLY did she steal another book from his pile, placing in its designated spot on the shelf -- she had SYSTEM going right now, hopefully he managed to follow it. ❝ - that you would be abroad often. I guess I didn't consider the fact that most of the more dangerous cases would be here in Japan. ❞ Made sense it did, however, since CURSES had a higher density here -- & sorcerers were of a greater number, many born here and Emily being one of the lesser few found elsewhere.
❝ About me, though? Well, I grew up in the middle of nowhere in England. ❞ A RARE case was she as she had been born into a family of non-sorcerers, but apparently an ancestor of hers had been a proficient one & Emily was the first born into her line since. ❝ I was the only sorcerer, but my father managed to find a good teacher for me. ❞ Was she side eyeing him a little ??? Perhaps, though it was less on the SNIDE side and more so on the HUMOUROUS one ( smile pricking the corners of her lips ). ❝ She didn't pawn off tasks onto me, you see? Unlike some teachers - I'm joking, don't pout! I know you're a good teacher! ❞
“Me being the strongest also means I’ll have the strongest proteges under me, don’t you know?” Is she trying to call him out? She’s totally trying to call him out and he won’t have it. He lets her take the book from his grasp this once, but goes himself to put up the next one … in whatever method she’s been putting them up at. He’ll figure it out – if not, she’ll just correct him, as she seems so keen on trying to do with his teaching methods! Her audacity might be boundless, but so is his confidence; fake it til you make it, as they say.
“What I’m hearing is that you think I’m a horrible teacher and that I should be fired.” He’s totally putting words in her mouth here, but it’s mostly in all good and fun. He laughs through his nose. “Nonetheless… how was your teacher, then? Can’t have been easy being the only sorcerer in your family. I mean… what did your folks say when you said you saw things going bump in the night?” Or was that too personal? If it’s too personal, he trusts that she’ll just tell him to stop – and being as kind as he is, he knows when to stop. But growing up being able to see curses at his capacity, surrounded by people who only nurtured that ability… he can scarcely fathom growing up otherwise.
she should expect it, but sometimes, she can't, often caught with words in her throat, obviously stunned, spending a moment to collect herself & left unable to stop her smile from lingering on her lips. she sends him a playful glare at his poke, one that said careful, i bite, but most likely with the force of a small kitten, ❝ you're really pushing your luck, aren't you? if i could pinch you hard enough to hurt, i would, ❞ she hums, thoughtfully, never one to reject the chance to chat more, to speak what lingers through her mind. she takes a slow, long sip at her drink, the mug brought to her lips, the rim marked with the subtle pink of her lipstick. cup is settled down with a soft clunk, leaning back in the booth seat, back rested, silver gaze settling properly on his features once more.
❝ of course people would compliment that. they are stunning features, ❞ she begins as her head slightly cants to the side, ❝ but stating the obvious is too easy, which reminds me of something my ancestors used to do. many were scribes, you know, keepers of information. something they loved to do was describe people in great detail, ❞ pages, endless seemingly, as if the smallest of descriptions were important in identifying each & every important individual that was crucial in aiding the bae family, ❝ your lashes. maybe people get far too caught up in how stunning your eyes are⸻ & i'll be honest, i'm no exception. but the way they frame your eyes, it's ... otherworldly, like, hm ... frost, ❞ she was no poet, her capability of explaining in the depth that her ancestors did in those old texts, she couldn't compete, unable to even fathom the heart & soul they pot into every word but perhaps, with the softness she speaks her words⸻ it would be enough, ❝ your smile, the curve of your lips, they might say when looking at you, anyone can tell you have such a charming smile, satoru. one that slips into hearts⸻ maybe even breaks them too. ❞
a sigh, a shake to her head, ❝ that's what i'd say, both as jae & someone trying to be just like my ancestors. just as myself, i'd say i think your nose is pretty cute too, just as an extra, since i'm feeling sooo generous today. i'm not the kind to have favorites⸻ i think your ego would explode if i told you. ❞
“Oh, I dare you to.” The grin never leaves Satoru’s face, especially not with that remark. He’s naturally not scared of Jae – when you’re the strongest man in the world, you’re not scared of much, especially not a girl who has the bite force of a kitten, but he likes to challenge her anyway. He’ll probably put down infinity long enough for her to do it – pinch him, that is, and he’ll feign hurt the whole time. Just like her poking at him may be her way of showing her affection, so is his letting his guard down for her.
His cocky grin softens then. Stunning. He’s heard that before, and he still preens when he hears it from her mouth. He’s stunning and he knows it, with his striking blue eyes and cloudy white hair – imposing stature, and muscular body that’s equal parts genetics and equal parts hard work. But he pauses in his preening to keep listening, because he knows Jae enough to know that she won’t just stop there – no, she’ll wax poetics, and that’s something he likes about her. Maybe something he likes about her family, too, since they’re keen on that. But it’s mostly her that he likes. “Frost.” He echoes, batting said lashes at her. He’s a winter child – and maybe it’s befitting that his lashes are akin to the snow moon he was born under. He’s rarely heard people compliment that specifically, so it catches him off guard a little, and he falls quiet a moment as he listens to her speak. “Would you believe me if I told you that I’ve hardly broken hearts?” That his was the one more broken?
He lowers his gaze and shakes his head.
“There’s no way my ego would implode! Keep going. I mean, only if you can.” That cocky grin returns and he reaches a hand over to poke her nose.
“... Since you’ve said so much for me, I think it’s only fair that I say the same for you.” He takes a deep breath. “I think… I like your eyes a lot. Not just their color, but I like how honest they are – how I can tell what you’re feeling and what you’re thinking through them. I guess depending on the person, they’d hate to hear something like that. But you? I think it’s one of your best qualities.” He rests his chin in his hands. “And your hair… I always want to run my fingers through it. But you’d definitely hate getting pet, wouldn’t you? So I’ll spare you that.”
reinstating the semi-hiatus block because i haven't been doing well. i hope things are better for y'all. <3
I feel like Satoru reviews movies the way that hideo Kojima does ... in the sense of this image (if he liked it, he writes the mini essay - if he doesn't, he goes "saw a movie")

I need to write descriptions for all the verses I have for Satoru at some point. I ALSO need to cry over how much space means to Satoru, specifically in his college / curseless verses.
Satoru is wrapping up a long lecture on jujutsu sorcery to his small class of three. He sensed Emily approaching some while back and thought to show off a little (as was very transparent to his students) with elaborate demonstrations of Infinity. After assigning his students homework regarding cursed techniques and cursed energy, he dismissed them to have the rest of the evening off so he could slack off have the time to address Emily himself.
@belliautore : “man, how ignorant art thou in thy pride of wisdom!”
She comments… mockingly? Is she mocking him? How dare she! He places his hand atop his chest, expression aghast.
“Ign… I’m not ignorant! My pride in my wisdom is very well-founded, I’ll have you know.” Satoru sputters, leaning back against his desk and shaking his head. “Whatever. It’s not like you would know. Try teaching these kids effectively with your methods and see how it works out. They’ll eat you alive.” Satoru finds himself grinning at the idea of handing off his students to Emily for a day – not because he wants a day off or anything (because hell, he’ll take one if he can get one, thanks) but because he wants to see how she’ll handle the kids. It’s not like they’re particularly difficult, but he thinks that he’s perfected his teaching method enough that his hands are perhaps the most capable to take them. He’s had very few substitute teachers in the past, and even fewer good reports on the students' behaviors.

"Was there something you needed from me?" tone was stoic, the expression pon her ivory features unreadable .....
"I was in the middle of basking in the sun ...."
"You're Miss Frieren, aren't you?" He stands above her, blocking the sun with his imposing stature. He smiles, resting his hands on his hips. "I have a proposition for you, if you're willing to hear it. I want to travel with you!"
Hmm - so he is a genius, but he won't say that himself. It's a good answer, Suguru has always thought it's important to know when to be humble, although he finds his confidence equally attractive. He would mention that he was also on track to graduate with high honors if it wouldn't blow his cover, shattering his facade of 'carefree alternative party boy' - but apparently he needn't worry about that, because Satoru's figured him out already. He blinks in surprise at the mention of his so-called 'double life', before shrugging with a laugh, trying to act like that hadn't caught him completely off-guard.
"Double life, huh? I suppose you could say that, yes. I work hard so that I can play hard, you know?" He hums, taking a heavier swig of his drink. "Plus, we're not going to be young forever - gotta have fun while I still can." Suguru works his ass off in school, giving his all to maintain perfect grades - he deserves to let loose on the weekends, doesn't he? That's how he justifies it, anyways, although he is admittedly a little self-conscious when the two sides of himself are compared. He keeps it separate for a reason - those who know him as the hardworking honor student would surely see him differently if they knew what he got up to in his free time, and the one-night stands, well... The less they knew the better. But it seems like Satoru isn't interested in knowing him as just a vague concept, but as a whole person. That's not usually the way this worked, but Suguru likes him so far, so he'll go with it for now.
"You must've been paying real close attention to notice that, though - so you really were looking for me. I must've made a pretty strong impression, then." He teases with a fox-like grin - if this guy is going to call him out on his double life, then he'll get him back by pointing out his desperation. Not that he minds it, of course - he's charming, handsome, and a gentleman so far, Suguru shockingly doesn't have anything to complain about. He could usually find some reason to say a guy didn't meet his standards, but that wasn't at all the case in this particular instance. That on it's own is a feat, for sure. "So, how come you went through all the trouble of finding me? You're a star athlete, I'm sure you're not short on easier options. You didn't manage to scare everyone else off, did you?"
“Strong impression is one way to put it.” In truth, Satoru was mesmerized by the mystery that was Suguru Geto. He hardly expected to see someone like him at the kind of party they initially saw each other at, and he knew at that moment that they shouldn’t merely be two ships passing in the night.
It’s nice to hear someone as sly as Suguru be so candid about his double life. He can relate … in a way. After all, Satoru’s not just playing star student, but he’s a star athlete and starboy of the Gojo family, one of the largest energy providers in the country. While he might act like he doesn’t care about the reputation he’s accrued from either of those things, everything he does has been by meticulous design. He's got to have fun somewhere down the line, doesn't he? Maybe that's where they're alike.
“Why, I never.” Suguru’s got him there. That very reputation has made Satoru Gojo a popular guy, and he has no shortage of suitors between men and women across universities and cities – in fact, even now he can feel eyes on him – less so speaking of how he sticks out for not meeting the gothy vibe of the venue, but moreso his otherworldly appearance. White hair, blue eyes. Glasses at night. Pretty face that he’s well aware of having. He feels like it’s only natural that Suguru brings that into question, though he can’t help but feign being wounded by the insinuation that Suguru is a conquest. Does he want Suguru bad? Sure. Will he stop once he’s got him? Well, they’d have to see, won’t they? “Would it surprise you if I told you that I was actually interested in you? I’m not looking for something easy, no. I’m hardly looking for a notch in my belt… call me cheesy, but maybe I want another connection. I mean, if you were willing to give that a shot with me.”
Satoru finishes his drink. He can feel warmth fluishing his cheeks and a light buzz going on already, giving him a little more courage to keep speaking to Suguru. It’s not that he finds him intimidating … he simply doesn’t want to mess this up. It was hard enough pinpointing Suguru’s next location – if he lost him, he feels like he’d never be able to live it down.
“My turn.” Satoru declares, pushing his empty glass towards the bartender for them to take. “Would you be interested in a guy like me?”
