big fan of Krita's normal map brush
This is sooooo ooooold... I made this for someone, I don't remember who. I think it was their OC's?Β
Random aquatic creatures. Not sure why I was crossing things out on these doodle pages.

Okey I have hopefully set up postybirb to post one of my old pieces of art every week for the next. Uhhh. 6 years.
Maybe by then I will have actually drawn something new? Wild idea
Β For some reason this edgy art I made when I was around 14 was so enthralling that my uncle took it and had it in his pocket for months, showing it off to everyone he met
I have started learning how to draw the last few weeks on an art tablet my partner gave me to try out, so i have doodled the IRONHEADE Empire.
Very fun to draw, still figuring out how this stuff works, but fun :3

There has been very little traction on this for a while, so I made the above banner for these people, in hopes that it gets more people to see the post and share or donate!
If anyone reading this could reblog it, that would be very nice :]

Thing I'm realising about myself is that, while I'm really, really good at drawing
I'm really bad at, making art.
Trying to find a sort of common pattern with why I frequently unfollow people who make really cool stuff, and I think it's that, like, the technical skill some people have, is really impressive... but I've never really valued it.
I think a lot of people overvalue talent and even skill, but 'good at art' was never something I set out to do.
It probably always came/comes across as arrogant when I say 'oh, but your art is good too' like I don't really believe it, but I mean it, someones crappy art of their creations speaks far more to 'art' than my methodical style.
I draw very good because I wanted the things in my head to be visible. What it means, conveys, what it says about me, is a secondary residue that is often contradictory to my desire for accurate portrayal of what's in my head.
I've never really been unsatisfied with my art, and I think that's because 'how good it looks' is a much simpler, straightforward path than the nebulous quality of 'is this art'.
Immensely glad to say i think this post is slowly becoming wrong
I can make art that is Art and i like it and its good
I can put Me into it and i like Me
