A no more foul or retched place could be found on planet Earth than in the bowels of an infected hive. And not just any hive but Elizabeth Greene’s hive. Pestilence itself imbedded into the structure creating a hopeless image of Manhattan and even the world if the virus ever escaped its island containment. It was also… a grim testament to man’s hubris when it came to tampering with things beyond one’s control.

Codename Mother carried that testament, she was it and she was here… somewhere. The bodies of claimed soldiers and civilians scattered about corrupted beyond recognition. Aside from the churning noises of biomass it was unusually still.
