Henry was scrambling for a plan, but his panicked mind couldn’t think of anything. His gaze darted from William to the weapon, then back and forth again. He was never much of a violent person. 

 So, he resorted to the other avenue.

Kayako watched the man from the corner of the room. She sensed a lot of pain and regret from him. Not that it mattered. No one's pain was greater than hers. This man didn't even know what he had come into contact with. He just happened to have been around someone for too long who had already been inflicted by her curse. Now that person is dead.

She vanished before he could turn around and see her. A black cat trotted over to him, slinking between his legs before darting out of the room with a meow. It was Toshio's cat, Mar. A mark for death.

Or maybe that was just the grief taking hold of him.

One of the few friends he'd had left had recently gone missing. They'd yet to find a body, and there was little to find to suggest any hints.

Looking down at the sudden appearance of the cat, Henry frowned. He couldn't remember owning one. Perhaps this was a stray?
