Magnus is just Too Lovable

I have been waiting for this one to the point that when it dropped, I was simultaneously diffusing my hair on the floor. Not surprised by the result

I have one that I love. I'd say that sometimes when Magnus had to deal with a very difficult customer, especially some hard headed mundane, he's drained, mentally.

So he rests his head in Alec’s lap, laying on their couch, and vents it all out. Alec is just listening, maybe brushing his hair with his fingers and when Magnus is done, they turn their conversation into gossiping, maybe about that customer. :D I'd say it helps Magnus a lot.

I was thinking about it and I decided to split it into genres if that is okay. 😊

Funniest: I think it's the one where he sees Alec many times after he recovers from the delirium after he was so sick. He will buy the vase that looks like Alec, excuse me, what? 😂

Heartbreaking: Even though I cried when he broke up with Alec, I think it's actually when Alec comes to save him to Edom. "You've been so sad, I didn't know." Like... all he thinks about is how Alec felt? Now that's heartbreaking.

Scene that stuck up with me no matter what: This is a special category. Sometimes, this sentence just resonates in my mind without any reason to. It's from CoA, when Alec denies he dates Magnus. "You're just that friendly with everyone, is that it?" Not sure why, but this haunts me! 🥺

And special mention has Magnus talking to Elyyas, trying to make him help with a gift for Alec. Their interaction is golden. 😂

But seriously, this has been bugging me. Did Magnus slid his hand to Alec’s front or back? What I chose under the cut. :D

not only is he the perfect way to keep moving the plot forward, a way out of conflicts that otherwise would have the characters scrambling and the plot meeting dead ends, he also provides INSIGHT. he will tell you who every character is, which generation they're from, remind you of connections between series you might otherwise have forgotten about and no other character has a way of knowing. he shows you glimpses of the past. he's there to tell stories to provide the reader with knowledge the characters don't have.

but he's also a genuinely interesting character. he's not just there. he has a story, he has an intrinsic personality, he has morals that don't necessarily align with the main character's. he gives the reader a different perspective and is there to point out the nuisance of a situation, kinda brings the reader back from an otherwise biased narration. yet he's still very uniquely HIM.
