It feels so good to be drawing again!

I started a new job recently and it’s been awesome but it’s meant that my personal work gets pushed to weekends. So if I’m slow in replying to emails etc then that’s the reason.

I never thought I’d design greeting cards, I always thought I’d be bad at it and no one would like them, I’m so glad you guys helped prove me wrong 😂 There’s a whole collection of cards that have already been pre-ordered by stockists and I’m actually so looking forward to sharing those designs with you! Gonna wait a little bit longer before revealing those designs 🙈

Celebrating 5 Years of doing this thing

Posting a super old photo of myself because I nearly forgot that today marks 5 YEARS since I started this hand-lettering hobby! It definitely doesn’t feel like it’s been that long but looking at how much I’ve improved and all that I’ve achieved, 5 years does seem about right! 

The girl in that picture was only just getting the hang of using a paint brush to create lettering and trust me when I say she FOR SURE didn’t think her skills with watercolour would ever improve. 

Boy am I happy to prove her wrong!

A massive, MASSIVE thank you to all of you here. Your support and encouragement has made me feel so very happy and grateful for how far I’ve come! 

We should celebrate this occasion with a giveaway or something, right? Maybe a round of requested lettering like I used to do when I first started? Let me know what you think, and thank you again ❤️❤️❤️

I call this my organised chaos 😂

We just got a new batch of the gift tags printed and they just look so so vibrant! I’m so excited to be sending this lot off to a new stockist, it still blows my mind that my stationery is in actual shops 😱 I feel like we tend to do a lot of complaining on here about the algorithm and number of likes and 💩 like that, but I’d rather try to look at the amount of good that’s come out of being on social media. 

If it wasn’t for tumblr and Facebook and Instagram then I wouldn’t have had the opportunities that I have today and I definitely wouldn’t have had the chance to chat and connect with so many of you incredible people 💕 So here’s to a happier week of being grateful for all that we have ❤️

Bit of a throwback

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing I thought I’d share this quote and photo from waaaay back when I first got the hang of watercolour lettering! 

Is it weird that I’m still swooning over this design? That green is just my absolute favourite right now 🌲 Also loving how well the gift tag and card designs complement each other! I can only imagine how incredible everything would look if I designed wrapping paper too 🙈

So you know that feeling when you work on a design for five hours and everything is looking great so you save your file, take a small screenshot to share as a sneak peek on social, and then realise you used the WRONG COLOURS for a key part of it and so everything just looks off now 🤦🏻‍♀️
