And then Max got out of the hospital, they had lunch at the Two Whales, waffles were served with a side of justice, and the tornado never happened.
Based on the idea that there was going to be a third ending where Max sacrificed herself for Chloe and ended up in the hospital.
And also on the idea that the timing for the gun shot and the butterfly flying away was key to not triggering the apocalyptic events.
And why are Max’s powers inexplicably gone? That is a very good question. And Scotty–
As you can tell, I took a lot of shortcuts with this one. I obviously copied a lot of the shots from the game xD Hopefully its clear as to why I did that. Could’ve used a few more panels, and yes I could’ve drawn those photos myself, but would I really have to? Eh. I just wanted to show which stuff stayed the same and what changed. Oh well.
Thanks to @relentlessly-ace and @bedmint for help with the dialogue, which I suck at!
Wow this is like my least original comic yet LOL
Hope you enjoy anyway! Cuz now we can get back to the shitty cute fluff.
I got your back Max.
No wonder Max’s original doodle always felt like it’s missing something.

In defence of DONTNOD and Life is Strange
So, this is a tweet by Luc Baghadoust. For those of you who don’t know, he’s a producer of Life is Strange, and member of DONTNOD. He tweeted this this morning.
A producer of one of the most ambitious (and arguably best) games of the year is feeling as though his work wasn’t worth it.
I know that he mentions IGN and Gamespot. These are professional review sites, who make their money by judging people’s work for a living.
But as fans, I’m surprised that the community is not more supportive of DONTNOD’s work.
The team at DONTNOD have worked on this game for two and half years. They are not the biggest game developers, and they were only able to complete something as ambitious as Life is Strange in part because they teamed up with Square Enix.
They have described the difficulty in creating Life is Strange: they compare creating an episodic game to doing a triathlon:
“An episodic game is like a triathlon, where instead of running happily around the stadium after the finish, you have to dive into cold water for the second part of the race. The teams are exhausted by the trial, but the cheering of our fans gives us the strength to continue. We don’t want to think how much harder it might have been if the reception had been really bad.”
They talked in an interview about how when they were up working late at night, the only thing that kept them going was looking at the beautiful fan art people had sent to them. The team really do care about what people say to them, and about engaging with the community.
I think that to dismiss Life is Strange or to attack DONTNOD just because you didn’t like the ending or because one of the characters that you like didn’t have enough time in the finale is completely ignoring the amount of effort that went into Life is Strange, and all of their effort that went into the previous episodes. Where would you be right now without Life is Strange?
Shouldn’t we, as the fans, embrace the final episode, warts and all? It wasn’t perfect, but it was nowhere near as bad as the community is telling the people who worked so hard on it that it is.
