Three days before David Bowie died, I had the opportunity to speak with his longtime producer Tony Visconti on "The Man Who Sold the World," Woody Woodmansey's Holy Holy and working with the visionary musician.

Covered Boston’s annual celebration of local music over at Boston Metro earlier this month. Speedy Ortiz were, rightfully, the big winners. Risers Palehound and Ruby Rose Fox got some deserved recognition as well. 

Flavor of December 2015. Just started watching You’re the Worst, which features the angsty yet en pointe track as its theme song. They’re also a great live band (and one of my picks for best local Brooklyn band of 2014), so get on that.

An (autotune-less) T-Pain singing a surprisingly soulful NPR Tiny Desk Concert. He begins by saying “this is weird as hell for me” — and honestly, it’s definitely odd — but damn, he’s a good singer.  

Then, I read about longtime musician/producer Mike Rivard and found out about Club D’Elf, Rivard’s Morrocan-inspired musical group, which features him on sintir (a camel-topped bass stringed with sheep intestine). Oh and the group sometimes features John Medeski (of Medeski, Martin and Wood), too.
