I hope this message finds you well. I want to take a moment to share a piece of my journey with youβnot just the hardships, but also the successes that have shaped who I am today.
I graduated from engineering school with distinction and began my career as a teaching assistant. It was one of the most fulfilling times of my life. My students loved and respected me, and even now, they stay in touch, sending me messages to check on me. Later, I was thrilled to work as a lecturer at a college. I excelled in my interviews and secured the position as the top candidate. Like my previous students, these ones also grew to love me, and I became more than a teacher to themβI was a friend.
Afterward, I joined a prominent software company, where I achieved so much in such a short time. In less than a year, I was recognized as the Best Employee and was awarded a trip to Sharm El-Sheikh. I had big dreams of pursuing my masterβs degree in engineering, leading my QA team to new heights, and eventually heading an independent company specializing in software quality assurance. My manager and I were already making plans to establish this company.
At the peak of my happiness, I discovered I was pregnantβa dream come true. But just three days later, on October 7th, everything changed.
I havenβt been able to see my family since the war began. I gave birth to my baby boy, Khaled, amidst devastation and displacement, in a tent surrounded by chaos. I lost my new homeβa place I had lived in for only five months after my recent marriage on May 20th. My career, my dreams, and the life I was building were all turned upside down.
The company I worked for has now relocated to Egypt, and while many of my colleagues managed to leave, I couldnβt afford the high costs of travel. I stayed behind, and now my focus has shifted entirely to survivalβfor me, my baby, and my husbandβs family.
Jade, Iβm not just asking for help; Iβm sharing my story because I know youβll understand. I ask you to see me as a friend or sister. Iβve built my life on resilience, love, and ambition, and now, Iβm fighting to keep that life alive for Khaled and my family.
At first, I created the campaign to help us relocate, but now, all the funds are going toward basic survivalβfood, water, and Khaledβs growing medical needs. The expenses are overwhelming.
I hope youβll continue to stand with me by helping to share my story. Your support means the world to me, and Iβm deeply grateful for everything youβve already done.
