To those who followed the blog... I don’t know what you’re expecting. This blog closed now. No new posts aside from whatever word vomit that were the last few. I left the fandom and have no regrets except for whatever dumb narrative decision Ishida made but that’s neither here nor there.

Yo... so... how’s everyone? How’s the fandom? How’s everyone enjoying the anime? I only heard from my brother that “it’ll make Root A look like a masterpiece” which, I mean... sucks for you guys I guess?

Since this is my only TG blog and I barely have anything to do with it on my main blog... is my ship still all right? Yo Shuuneki/Tsukikane shippers! Ya’ll still alive? Life support working?

Just wondering if anyone’s writing any fics? Fix-it fics? Time travel? AUs? C’mon guys, I still like these two. I need someone to do them justice.

I’m already eagerly waiting for the next update of How to Prep Coffee Beans

So, I’m just putting this out there... Hit me up with some good Shuuneki fics. They’re still at the back of my mind and it’s almost annoying.

So, based on spoilers I’ve seen going around, how accurate were my predictions? I think I got the “people got married and had a bunch of kids” part right at least.

I just wanna know what happens to Tsukiyama.

I predict that there will be a next installment starring Kaneki's child (most likely a son) as the protagonist. He's going to continue the battle between humans and ghouls even though it was more or less resolved in the previous series, they'll rehash a couple of moralty lessons that new protag has to learn even though his father already did learn it, Kaneki will be a shit father, Touka will be a housewife, everyone else will be married with kids, and it'll be called Tokyo Ghoul: Next Generations.

Edit: Kaneki will also have shorter hair that's supposed to make him look older and mature but it actually just looks like his hair got into a fight with a blender and lost.

It’s been a long, long time, hasn’t it? Sorry about that. I’d say that real life got in the way (I’m a college senior now!) but that’s only half true.

The other half of the truth is that I’ve stopped following TG;re. I don’t know if it’s been a year or two years. I barely remember the last chapter I’ve read. The most recent thing I remember happening, from what I’ve seen from my dashboard, is Kaneki and Touka becoming canon. However the way they became canon kind of... I don’t want to use the word “triggered” but it’s the closest thing to my reaction without using the word traumatized. It’s personal...

Anyway, it sounds silly, but that’s pretty much when I decided to discard any thought of catching up to the series. Not only that, but a lot of things in the series just brings me stress now (torture, gore, death, grey morality, philosophical discussions) and I worry about my favorite characters. I especially love Tsukiyama and, well, I don’t know what happened to him now but I don’t want to think about it.

Please, no spoilers.

Tokyo Ghoul will forever be one of the best manga series I have ever read. And it’s one of the only series I have read the whole way through. It has helped me develop my taste in manga, and by extension anime, and also helped me gain a much better appreciation for it as an art medium.

TG:re is... I want to use the word “clusterfuck” in the nicest way possible... It’s still good though, I guess? Well, people still enjoy it and that’s all that matters.

I didn’t intend this to get long. I just wanted to say that I’m keeping this blog up for archival purposes. Posts are still rebloggable but I won’t be accepting submissions anymore (not that there have been any lately). It’s time to get closure, move on, stay in my happy place of cute boys in sports anime, and wait to see if this series will ever end.

I wish it ended with TG and with Kaneki dead...
