you see me on linkedin and compare yourself to me
we are not the same
you did not write a gay musical theater (redundant) script in spanish with Chayanne-coded songs
i'm not working for the knife, i use it as a sidewalk and pirouette on it like Debbie Reynolds with a joie de vivre stronger than any fascist apocalypse
i hope everything works out in the end because i am so so scared

I have so much love and respect for women who are honest about their own loneliness but also find the good in it like when audrey hepburn said “I have to be alone very often. I’d be quite happy if I spent from Saturday night until Monday morning alone in my apartment. That’s how I refuel” and when charlotte bronte said “I care for myself. The more solitary, the more friendless, the more unsustained I am, the more I will respect myself” and when jenny slate said “I think I’ve come to terms with the fact that there will always be a ribbon of loneliness running through who I am. But that’s why I want to do comedy, and why I want to connect with people. You can use that ribbon to be a part of a finer tapestry, or you can choke yourself out with it! Your choice!” and when mary oliver said “whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to you like the wild geese, harsh & exciting - over & over announcing your place in the family of things”

The desecration of the domestic. A couch is not a couch, but a place where I languish after he stared too lovingly in his dread. My bed is not a bed- No bed is a bed... Until I stop sharing it. In my drowned living room I rest, for its soil makes me repulsive to touch... It becomes the only place where kind people can find me...
Effie's Trinkets Out
Joe Dobosz, Uranium Miner (1979) by Richard Avedon
Thursday's Child END version (2022) - Tomorrow x Together
A boy in a tub who doesn't get up despite being fully clothed, presumably placed there by someone else. He should sober out of that sadness. Something has ended, it's painful, but at least you are not a miner!
The Uranium Miner's clothes are tainted with a dangerous mixture certain to affect the health within. A man of a worker's physique in a dangerous job, his means of earning a living taints him in every possible way.
It turns out: Haymitch is more of a miner than himself.
More people need to be reading Effie's Trinkets Out.

Effie's Trinkets Out
Greer and Robert on the bed (1982) by Nan Goldin
The Storm (1880) by Pierre-Auguste Cot
Freedom in presentation comes at the expense of agency. The inherent intimacy of the sheer female "demands" male presence... During escape, during rest... It's too much beauty for the wild brain to interpret through filters of politeness.
What does this do to women's role in anti-system movements?
Effie's Trinkets Out
La Toilette (1742) by Francois Boucher
Twiggy, hair by Ara Gallant (1968) by Richard Avedon
Hegemonic features that should grant some freedom in the way of parties and glam. The beauty is but an artifice of what's to come: it's all about exaltation, exaltation! The part of the brain that thinks of revolution thus loses real estate against the part concerned with self-presentation.
