Thatâs so funny, I think Louis de Pointe du Lac, the former pimp and vampire, might somehow be doing it in a less harmful way than normal firefighter guy Eddie Diaz
this whole thing where Louis is called being a groomer and pimp (words that do not describe what he is doing with respect to Regina) reminds me of the boys where the fanbase would continuously deny that the female characters were raped when the show explicitly said that they were but when hughie was sexually harassed/assaulted, they said it was rape. itâs just telling how easily people will ignore definitions whenever it is convenient for however sympathetic they want certain characters to be.
of course that scene where starlight was forced to give the deep a bj was never meant with seriousness by fandom. i remember how there was strong denial even though she immediately hated herself for being coerced.
what louis is experiencing with regina is nothing remotely close to that. fandom is still under the impression that it's 14 yo Claudia who died at 46. Regina, who has been hustling, in trouble with the law, has a rap sheet, on her own, an only fans all establishes she's a grown, street-smart woman. she doesn't even look young anymore. Louis in this scenario is almost like that wealthy businessman that thinks therapy is beneath them, but misses their spouse and seeks an escort to commiserate and talk about them while Regina pretends to care, just like who he used as a beard, Miss Lily would pretend and enjoy his conversation for monetary compensation.
as much as fandom wants this, louis is gay and he's not going to fuck though fandom wishes he would because they love seeing his character not for who he is but who they wish he'd be because they hate him but their strong feelings make no sense because they love characters who've done worse harm. Louis' disturbingly mentally ill and in denial of it. But that's too complex for fans who get their analyses from tiktok. as said before Regina is running his ass not Louis running her. He is desperate and it's actually so fucking sad how lonely he is and that he has never known how to cope with survivor's guilt and loss--a natural part of life. Remember in ep 1.2 after his turning during the day after eating that redhead salesman? he says, I have to go see Grace, Paul--who's been dead days or weeks now. Grief and loss with Louis is something he has never been able to accept as a part of life. And that is tragic. but yeah reducing him to a groomer is much easier for their small brains to handle.
fandom can attack him for the horrible things he does without making shit up ad nauseam. i bet rolin is thinking about it though because he is a hybrid of the two worst type of fans in this fandom
Predominantly white, queer fans have made it clear across multiple fandoms and decades that they only engage with Black men from the perspective of viewing them as hypersexual and predatory.
I suppose that's a fitting bookend to how Dee and now Regina have been portrayed as criminal and hypersexual - choices that should reflect on anyone EXCEPT the writers and showrunners, from what I've seen in the show tags.

The lack of a Wonder Woman project is especially ridiculous when you remember that the first season of Creature Commandos (The very first DCU project) went out of it's way to mention the Amazons and Themyscira and have Circe, an amazon and a Wonder Woman villain, be a main villain in the story.
