Every Time Is Bedtime

Shane only child Hollander who has never had to regulate his noise making, raucous behavior at home (outside of the usual “hey buddy, let’s take it down a notch, okay?” from David), and never really was a messy child but you know, socks don’t make it to the hamper, and hey maybe a damp towel after the shower just sits on the floor a bit too long, but it’s okay because it’s just a towel

Ilya constantly on eggshells, purposefully making himself as small and invisible as possible Rozanov who is quiet as a mouse at home, constantly hoping that his existence will go unnoticed outside of his skill at hockey, but even when his hockey is noticed, he’s still trying to avoid his brother’s ire, his father’s disappointment that it’s not enough, and if he wasn’t just so goddamn lazy, he’d maybe make something of himself. If he wasn’t so soft (cleaning the dishes left in the kitchen, cleaning the house because housekeepers quit and quit and quit and Polina finds domestic tasks beneath her), so weak, so lazy….

And now they cohabitate in the summers, then weekends and days off, and now they are married, living together always and Shane can just be so… loud, and why are there towels lumped on the bathroom floor?
