It has almost been a month since I’ve moved to Glasgow and to be honest, I still don’t fully believe it’s happening. Few years ago, I would just talk and talk about how one day I will move to the UK and my friends would just smile and nod and not really believe me. Honestly, I didn’t believe myself. Not even when I applied for uni back in January. Or when I was sending my portfolio and was thinking “there is no way I’m gonna get in“. Or when I saw those words conditional offer on my UCAS account. I just told myself “naah that doesn’t mean anything, I will definitely mess up my IELTS tests and I won’t get in“ or when I actually didn’t fail the test and I officially got in. Even then I didn’t believe it’s happening, because I didn’t think I have enough money to just pack my bags and leave Slovakia. So now /1:13 am/ I’m sitting on my bed, in my /and my sister’s/ flat, in Glasgow. I’m an official student of Glasgow Caledonian University /3D animation and visualisation/. I go to school with people who love Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter and Star Wars and are not ashamed to talk about it with our teachers- because they love it all too. So maybe one day, I will make all those great movies. Maybe one day people will watch my movies over and over again like I watch LOTR every summer. Or maybe I will be in one of those cool “behind the scenes“ or “appendices“ videos where people talk for hours and hours about every single detail they put in the movie. Maybe.
