"Yeah, it keeps me up at night if I think about it, but I try to ignore it as absolutely completely as possible and that helps," She snorts once, her stomach churning at the mere thought. S.H.I.E.L.D paid well, definitely, but it would take her a while to put a dent in that. "Oh yeah, you just have to make sure it's at least ten pages. Anything less than that and they're gonna' notice."

Making a face, MJ rolls her eyes.  ”Scoot then,” the redhead insists, flimsily gesturing the woman to go about her business. She honestly doesn’t see what Elle needs all the books for.  Anything can be found out on the Internet nowadays.  But she won’t ask; Mary Jane’s hardly in a tolerable mood without some sorrily necessary caffeine in-take.

Biting the corner of her lip to hide a laugh, Elle quickly disappears into a stack of books and emerges a few minutes later carrying a few more. She quickly checks them out and shoves them into a backpack, careful not to let the covers show. "You'd think work would have something online but nope, I gotta' spend my days stuck in a library. Come on, girl, you've done your time. Go and breathe the free air." 

                                        —Someone shoot her now.

She snorts lightly. Bless her, poor thing. Libraries were the realm of nerds and Mary Jane Watson was certainly anything but that. "If you can wait ten more minutes, I'll get you something at Starbucks when we're done. Fair?"

"That's what 40k worth of graduate school and two years of lost sleep'll get you," She grins shyly now, running a hand through her hair before sweeping it up with her hand, "Pro-tip, always fiddle with the margins to make it longer. No one ever notices." 

"It really isn't; it's just fun to say that," She grins a bit now, slapping down a heavy stack of papers, "78 pages on analytics is generally considered to be more dreadful then impressive, I think."
