Perfection is an illusion.

"What child support?" asked Zac, narrowing his eyes at her, the server completely forgotten. "I mean, we’re getting married .. aren’t we?" He gave her a very confused look, as if something had been lost in translation in during communication about this whole affair many days past. Zac shrugged his shoulders. "I suppose one more mistress to take care of wouldn’t make that much of a difference." He had a feeling that their server was looking around to make sure she was not being caught in some prank show now - not that she would find any. She quickly rattled off their order and left, not wanting to be in the presence of this weird couple any longer. "I didn’t think we were going that far. So what are we going to name the baby?”

"Maybe. Depends how I feel on the day -- I quite like the idea of being a runaway bride." The blonde sat back again, crossing her arms over her chest as she just smirked at him, rolling her eyes at the mention of 'one more mistress'. Asked what they were naming the baby, her expression feigned deep thought for a few moments, before she nodded once in decision. "Someone had to win -- I just made it happen. Poppy. Her name'll be Poppy."

Well, Gabe did pull of a rather convincing excuse fit for another teacher once he knocked on the door and the lovely Miss Wood, the history teacher, opened it and asked about his presence here, and when he was asking for a Miss Aria Fawcett, everyone in the class shot a gaze at the young blonde, as if wondering what would a teacher be doing with the blonde high school girl. Knowing that not many would catch on to the whole thing, Gabe watched as Aria shot him a rather unsatisfied look as she came up to him. He thanked the female teacher, before ushering Aria off to the hallway and chuckled at her complaining. “What, did I take you away from Troy?” He teased. “And what in the name of Merlin are you wearing?”

"His name is Teddy," Still standing with her arms crossed, Aria continued to pout at his teasing, glancing down at her outfit following the questioning he did. "Clothes. Remarkable things. Why, what's wrong with them?" she spoke bluntly, voice laced with evident sarcasm as she cocked her head to the side.

"Then your old therapist sounds wrong," he said with a small smirk, teasing back just a little. He could tell that she wasn’t really too confident, but a lot of young girls, especially in this generation weren’t. He chuckled at her question, letting that breath he was holding in go; he actually thought she was going to ask him a question. But he shook his head and tapped his chin, acting like he was actually thinking of an answer. "Ya know, I don’t know. I’ll ask the woodchuck and get back to you," Stefan replied with a small grin. "When she said she’d be happy to go with him the grin on his face grew, chuckling softly. "Great, I thought you were going to say no, honestly," he admitted, scratching the back of his neck with a small smile. "Are you okay with wearing red? We’re all assigned colors and that one’s mine this year.."

"Here's hoping." Aria laughed lightly, attempting to play off the light blush in her cheeks with the happy sound as she tucked a few strands of her hair behind her ear. She wasn't all that sure how to react, in all honesty, around him -- or, around guys in general, really. The blonde had grown up to believe the shyness was anything but flattering, but... it seemed to be keeping his attention, so maybe it couldn't be that bad, right? "Much appreciated. I'll sleep much better tonight knowing the answer's gonna be in your hands." Aria expelled a short breath of laughter again, unable to wipe the smile off her face all the while - despite the nervous thoughts that still fluttered through her head. "I wouldn't ever. I mean -- I just wouldn't. Would never. I'd be honoured to go with you." She was starting to figure she sounded a little bit strange. And flustered. "Red? Yeah, I... I love red. Totally, definitely."

If Aria thought trying to spend his money was going to rattle him, she was dead wrong. He was earning more money than half the adults around with his freelance programming cum IT security consultant job and he could easily afford a meal like this, since the only person he was supporting was just himself. “I’ll get the carbonara, but I’ll be starting with the mushroom soup instead.” He sipped from his glass of water, but nearly choked at what Aria came up with next. He had to hand it to her with that one. That one threw him off. Hard. But of course, Zac refused to just keel over and lose this little game they were playing. “Yea, it was a pretty big surprise when she told me she poked holes in the condoms. Turns out that was the ‘Christmas present’ she was going to give me.” He shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly, like that was not something entirely wrong in itself at all.

She was enjoying herself, making him uncomfortable and knocking him off his game - evidently to some extent succeeding at it, judging by the splutter Zac gave when still trying to swallow his water. Aria just smiled sweetly, not allowing her expression to falter even slightly at the way he tried to spin the situation round on her as she just gave a simple shrug of her shoulders. "What can I say. You're a rich-kid big-shot -- figured if I got myself knocked up, your child support would be more than enough to get me a new Porsche. I mean, the money Eric earns wouldn't be nearly enough, so I made sure not to poke any holes in his." Not really addressing the waitress any longer, she merely continued to smile sweetly at Zac, resting her head on her hand as she propped her elbow up on the table and the girl walked away. "Nice reflection. I was almost impressed."
