I think my deep irritation with the combative way Sherlock and Mycroft's relationship is often portrayed DOESN'T come from being the older of two neurodivergent brothers. I think that's probably a funny coincidence.

I don't think Sherlock would enjoy reading mystery books, he'd be too judgmental about everything from the plot to the detective's methods, etc. -- they just annoy him because he thinks he could do so much better.
