Join me for a burger and fries. // the best boyfriends + Bobby + a loser
Billy hadnât been doing much besides training lately, trying to get used to the effects of no longer having the antichrist attached to him. After he came face to face with one of his nightmares he decided he needed some sort of muscle tone, and needed to not rely so much on his magic. So heâd get up early, go for a run and then go straight for the gym and work on combat until lunch, when he decided he was done.Â
This schedule, as well as the schedule that Teddy had prepared for himself had made it very hard for the two boys to see each other. Which was disappointing to say the least. He missed having goofy conversations with Teddy and playing video games. So he had busied himself with more running and bringing Cooper along, just to burn his energy out.Â
However that morning - Billyâs rest day - he woke up to a note on Teddyâs pillow. Confused as hell, he read it and grinned. A date night at their favorite diner sounded like something they really needed right now. So he got himself out of bed, and getting himself ready for the day. He was excited to go, so he ended up being ready hours before.Â
When the time finally came, Billy teleported himself to the diner, walking in and waving at the waitress who knew him all to well at this point, and saw Teddy. Smiling and making his way over, he noticed another familiar face, or two. Bobby was there, and so was Sam. His smile getting wider, he snaked an arm around Teddyâs waist and kissed his shoulder quickly. âHey Tee.â He murmured before grinning over at his other two friends. âhey guys! Whatâs up? Havenât seen you guys in like, a really long time!âÂ
Bobby had just been settling in to read the menu when he felt someone sit down in the booth across from him. He looked up skeptically, already on guard â just in case â when he noticed it was Sam looking as adorable as always. A huge grin spread across his face and he dropped the menu. âWell would you look at that. Fancy meeting you here.â Bobby leaned across the table to press a soft kiss to his boyfriendâs lips. âI missed you,â he mumbled, then sat back to pick up the menu again.
And then someone else was walking close to their table. âTeddy! Dude!â He stood up from the booth and pulled the teen into a bro-hug, patting him on the back. âLong time no see, man. What are you up to.â He was about to agree to the catching up when Billy walked in. âWhy donât you guys join us. Impromptu double date. Hell yeah.â
He switched sides of the booth and wiggled in next to Sam instead, gesturing for Billy and Teddy to take the other side of the table. âThe resturant is pretty packed anyway. Might as well save some seats.â He didnât bother picking the menu heâd been trying to read back up again, considering it didnât matter. Heâd order the same thing as always and now his friends were around. âWhat have you guys been up to? Holy hell, itâs been way too long.â
Sam smiled, leaning into the kiss and just so glad to see Bobby that for once he didnât care about the public display of affection. He didnât have the energy to worry anymore, all that mattered was finding a way to be happy and screw anyone else who tried to ruin it. âI missed you too.â He settled his head back onto his arms, tired and content. Everything was perfect. Well, add in a cheeseburger and a chocolate milkshake and then it would all be perfect.
So of course someone had to come along and ruin things, and not just any someone. Sam glared balefully from under dark brows at the blond who insinuated himself into their peaceful reunion. âTeddy.â He said the greeting like a curse, scowling openly as Bobby welcomed him. âWait, what? No!â He sat up, scrunching his face in distaste. A double date? Now? With him?! How could something go from perfect to the worst thing of all time so quickly?
"Hey, Billy." The teen muttered, sliding over to make room for Bobby and jabbing him hard in the ribs in revenge. "I hate you forever, you asshole." He said quietly into the mutantâs ear before putting on his best smile for Billy. "Sorry dude, Iâve been up in space doing space things. You know, with likeâŚthe space people and stuff. Lots of heroics, Iâm actually pretty well known across the galaxy now." A complete lie, but they didnât know it and rubbing his success into Teddyâs face made him feel marginally better.
Teddy eagerly hugged his friend back, wishing they had more time to catch up with each other. Maybe tomorrow or- whoa, wait, what? For once he agreed with Sam. Wow, isnât that a miracle. âNo! I mean, I donât think thatâs a really good ideaâŚâ But the argument died on his lips as Billy pushed him down into the seat that Bobby had just left. He had no chance as soon as Billy started throwing those damn puppy dog eyes around. Thankfully, he was sitting across from Bobby instead of Sam. If he had to stare at that stupid face all night thereâs no way heâd be able to enjoy his food.
âYeah, okay, so this is happening.â He sighed, resigned to the fact that Billy and Bobby were evil boyfriends. The only fact that made him feel slightly better was knowing that Sam would be as miserable as he was. Teddy couldnât hold back a snort at the Novaâs bragging. âYouâre probably better known for running into things, right?â Heâd seen firsthand how clumsy the guy could be, it was a fair guess! Expecting Billy's silent reprimand, Teddy tensed up a bit. It wouldn't be nearly as fun making fun of Sam if Billy was going to pout every time.
Turning away from the source of his annoyance, Teddy focused on Bobby. âIâve kind of been lying low, actually. I decided to work more on muggers and bank robbers. You know, let someone else save the world every now and then.â Teddy shrugged; working his hardest to act like Sam wasnât even there. He slung an arm over Billy's shoulders and started rubbing his thumb across it. So much for a nice evening with just the two of them. âSo, what about you, Bobby?â
