Things Insatiable has:
1. bisexual representation
2. gay representation
3. trans representation played by actual trans people
4. lesbian representation
5. a plus size poc character who loves herself and isnât ashamed of being plus sized
6. a character who loses 70 pounds and finds that being skinny isnât magic and still suffers with body issues
7. a character being falsely accused of molestation & exploring how it affects him b/c false accusations are real and harmful and ppl seem to forget that
8. (a little) poly representation @ the end
9. multiple instances of lgbt characters struggling to accept themselves
10. depictions of realistic struggles w/ alcohol and drug use that arenât made fun of
11. depictions of the difference between a healthy, supportive relationship (brick) and a toxic, controlling one (christian)
12. a balance between how the church and christianity can help people and support them in finding comfort & how it can be a lil over the top sometimes
13. a statuatory rape offender who actually GOES TO JAIL
14. a mother confronting her pedophile stepdad who statutorily raped/ took advantage of her & stating explicitly that it was wrong & he shouldnâtâve done it
15. a storyline where the main character decides to have an abortion & itâs talked about realistically, sheâs not made fun of or painted as a bad person for it & recognition of the fact that american (or georgia state) abortion laws are controlling and stupid
16. also recognition of the fact that abortion isnât for everybody and even though one character is against it personally she doesnât restrict what another characterâs choice is at all
17. shows double standards of bullying when i comes to fat vs thin people & how unfair it is that fatphobia is ignored in schools that claim to be âanti-bullyingâ
18. a girl that goes from being unhealthily obsessed w an older guy to accepting him as just her mentor and guider, nothing more
19. an asian girl who doesnât say the n-word when rapping along to a song b/c even though sheâs the comedic villain and intentionally dumb she still understands itâs not her place to do that
20. a lil bit about classism and a character wanting to leave behind being âtrailer trashâ before almost-accepting that growing up in a trailer park isnât like⊠a bad thing

my point is before judging this show please actually watch it. itâs really not half as bad as yâall are making it out to be. itâs got so much representation and if youâre about to throw all that away based on a minute long trailer, pls reevaluate ur life
