Well, almost without realizing it, I’ve reached 2,000 followers, and I want to thank everyone—without exception: those who drop by occasionally, the loyal ones who visit the page daily, and those who stumble upon it by chance and leave a "like" on one of my posts...
I know that despite my attempts to "clean up" the list—removing what I believe are bots, empty blogs, and all sorts of promotional accounts—it is inevitable that my followers include Tumblr pages with peculiar interests or sites with unknown intentions...
This Tumblr (I still refuse to call it a "blog"), which retains its original look, started out by sharing images of rock and roll, pin-ups, café racer motorcycles, comics, 1950s cars, and classic cinema.
Over time, I began incorporating more artistic images: fabulous Japanese woodblock prints, striking paintings by classic artists, and eye-catching illustrations by modern artists.
There were also some modest attempts on my part to capture reality with ink and pencil... but perhaps most importantly, this journey across the web has led me to discover sensitive people behind each page, people full of good taste and curiosity, as well as the work of magnificent artists—artists who may not be household names but who have left a deep impression on me.
Many of these discoveries were made possible thanks to your posts on Tumblr. That is yet another reason to express my infinite gratitude.
For that and so much more: THANK YOU.
