I image Kai’s listener did appreciate him and got close to him despite them only knowing each other for a limited amount of time. And while caring about him they also cared about killing Edgar. Not that I think Edgar would actually die to them. But if they did carry out that mission for Kai I found myself thinking about them putting Edgars mask on his face while they killed him because he looked similar to Kai and they didn’t want to look at him while they killed him. And then afterwards they would hug his corpse and just sob because one, they miss Kai, and two, they just killed someone. Again not very likely to occur but I was just thinking and thought I’d share because this fandom deserves some despair and slightly sweet depictions from time to time.
