A Month of Angst Prompts;
(Note; While the goal is to do one a day, please go at your own pace, this is for fun after all!)

2. A young sorcerer that has spent years searching for a means to reunite with the family they thought were taken from them finally succeeds, but is about to be faced with the cold heartless truth.
3. “Commiserations. You have been given the burden of creation. Your self no longer belongs to you alone.”
4. Two survivors of a haunted mansion celebrate their escape only for one to turn to find they are completely alone and have been for a long time.
5. Having returned to their home after the world fell to ruin, they try to remake what they once had, only to find a surprise gift and note that reveals they lost more than they ever realised.
6. Death had been the penalty should the conditions not be met, but they had failed to ask whose life would be taken and by what hand it would be enacted.
7. “Hey mister, that’s a really cool camera! Can you take my picture?”
8. The only way to open the gate was to accept the curse. No one else realised it yet but another of them was bound to try soon as they were running out of time. And so, one silently placed their hand on the rune and wished the others luck.
9. They had waited just as promised at the station platform, waited as others came and went, as the air grew colder and rain seeped ice into their bones they waited. Because if they left, it would be an acceptance that they were not ever going to meet.
10. Take a moment of victory for the characters and explore how it would have went if one had hesitated just a second too long.
11. It didn’t matter how many loops they went through, on this day the one they loved most would always fall for another.
12. It had all been fine, everything was normal until that damned song started playing and it was like everything was happening all over again, just another repeat with new faces and backgrounds, so they ran.

16. There were no wedding bells, only the final tole that signalled the end and a life out of reach.
17. Intoxicated they stumbled their way through the woods in search of the comfort of their old hide-out, only to smack into a fence and be faced with a stretch of concrete laid over the remnants of the past.
18. Two siblings on opposite sides forced to fight desperately try to convince the other to join them. Will one finally accept or will neither back down until the final blow?
19. Friends that haven’t seen one another since a big fight desperately wish to settle things, but their own insecurities and the situation in which they meet has they parting ways once more with no resolution.
20. They stood in their doorway stunned, watching this poor soul with a still form in their arms smile and laugh up at them, as if the blood on their clothes was still fresh.
21. How do you tell those that look to you for salvation that you cannot stop the inevitable, even if you still wanted to?
22. For the sake of all, for the sake of their future, the cursed must be sealed away. No matter who they may be or how beloved the cursed was, it was their duty to entrap them forever.
23. “I’ll surrender! All of it, everything, I won’t ever again fight against you I swear it! So, please…please!”
24. A love letter slips from their fingers, ripped away by the wind as the ship carries them far from where they wish to be.
25. It was all burning, everything they had been trusted with, all the hopes and promises put on their shoulders. It all burned before them.
26. How do you tell someone you’ve grown to love that their life is a story and they are meant to be just a tragic sacrifice to the narrative.
27. Last words are left unheard as they one they are for is too focused on their task to notice.
28. Not all dreams survive the passage of time. Accepting that their shared dream had long been abandoned by the maker of it did not make it easier to let go.
29. “Don’t hesitate, dearest. A killing blow should always be swift and true.”
30. A parent gets one last glimpse of their child before they are spirited off on an adventure, with no guarantee that they will return and the burning question of whether that child would even want to.
31. Of course, of course the button would be on their injured side. Ten seconds left and they could spend that time knowing that if they had just rolled the other way they would have won.
