Urrgg, I’ve been really bad at remembering to post my creative stuff again.... Will sort it all out when I wake up....

Day 278

Adding some more bass colours to this picture, before I add in the details.

Didn’t do anything creative yesterday, but I did work, reading, went to the pub, and ran 40 minutes on the treadmill.

Day 275

Really haven’t had much time to do anything today, which is a shame. Was at work 7-9 this morning, then had to take the car straight to the garage, so whilst I was waiting for the MOT I walked up into town to the bank and supermarket...and boy did that take ages, then I was only home for about an hour and had housework to do, before going back to work 1-7.30... and then got rather distracted reading, and had more housework to do. So all I have done is some more colour plotting of this drawing ready for painting.

Tomorrow I am going to have a wonderfully art filled day, going to at least 3 different art galleries in Birmingham. I’m looking forward to it, but I know my legs aren’t. Let’s see how good or not my observational drawings will be, and if I remember to measure anything..... Sleep first.

Day 272 - ( Didn’t do anything other than reading, a very short run and working for day 271 )

At College this morning we were having an interesting discussion about ‘What is Craft’ -which I won’t go into just now, but will soon. We couldn’t all agree on one right answer - and there were no wrong ones either, so it was really nice.

Then it was more Art History this afternoon, and I got talking to Anthea, the teacher, in one of the breaks, and she told me about an artist called Helen Storey, and just a quick google search - wikipedia, no images - has got me so excited, I am now happily researching her stuff. It seems great so far - Human development/Biology/Science, but she also does stuff on ecological and green sustanability issues which is just amazing.

I asked people what I should try and paint on Sunday, and my brother suggested a red squirrel, so I have done a quick drawing to try and get a good idea for the colours and for the shape and feeling of it. Also been reading, one short story, and more of ASOIAF
