Going on with Infinity train sketches, this time it's Amelia Hughes as she appeared in Book 1 and 3. I was wondering what she would do even she would manage to get out of the train at the end. I mean after all these years she would probably have literally nothing out there. Maybe anyone closer to her either... Posting the sketches with just lineart this time too, because I think some lines got lost in my careless marker colouring and they looked a bit better before :).

More Infinity train sketches. Tulip with Atticus (and One-One of course), Samantha (I messed up her outfit, she shouldn't have a hat with this waistcoat) and One One again (I just wanted to fill the rest of the page and wanted to keep it Book 1 only and didn't think of other one that could fit in the small space nex to Samantha so I ended up with just One One which really doesn't count as a real sketch, more like practising drawing a circle lol).
I "just" watched Infinity train and I love it so much! Not to the point I'd like to crochet a character (yet?), but (apparently) enough to do some sketches. (I just wish I could fill the page with quick fun sketches like people do, I mean I spent hours on it and it looks crap anyway and not interesting at all.) Anyway, first two (how many times I said this sort of thing and then there was nothing more lol) from first two seasons (or books as they call it here. Why they call it books?) - Tulip with One-One and MT (Lake), Jesse and Alan Dracula. (yes, he's cut in half lol because the sketches are on the one page, so he wouldn't fit, but hey, it's Alan Dracula, he actually can do it right? :) ). Hmm, maybe I should have just written a text post with comments first, because I just want to go on with everything I loved about it. Maybe next time. Also, why there are just four seasons? Oh, p.s. Tulip is drawn according to the pose ref by @adorkastock (the other three are drawn just according to several screenscapes)
A scene from How to twist a dragon's tale. It's kind of a spoiler, but it's in the book as illustration too, so if you'd skimmed through the book you could see it too.
I drew a sketch for this picture all those years ago when first drawing HTTYD fanarts, but it seemed to me it turned out surprisingly well and I was afraid I might screw it up when colouring (especially the lava bit (yes, that's a flowing lava)), but when I got to listening to this audio in my relisten, I gathered the courage to finally finish it. And I rather like how it turned out. I think even the lava looks a bit like even when you know what it is supposed to be. :)

After long time some How to train your dragon fanart because I'm rereading (in the case of first 5 (6?) books relisten as audiobooks). This is from How to Cheat a Dragon's Curse and it's Camicazi stealing Vegetable-that-No-one-Dares-name. No, I won't explain anything, read the books. :).
It's actually not quite according the book, she should be tied up by her ankle and not around her wrist, but it would be a shame not to use hanging ref pics by @adorkastock :) (yes, picS, it's combination of two or three pics, which wasn't the best idea, on the other hand, it ended up pretty fine at the end I think :) ) (she also should have her sword but I gave up on trying to draw that there very quickly! :D)

As I mentioned when posting Katniss' sketches, I tried to draw Peeta as well. When drawing the first one, I had on my mind the scene in the train when going to Capitol for the first time, when he (and Katniss) snap at Haymitch (when his advice for them is just "Stay alive"). pose ref for this pic is by @null-entity Second picture isn't any particular scene or something, it was actually first sketch I drew and I just wanted to try to draw Peeta en face and saw the ref pic by birdsistersstock (on deviantart) and drew according to that (but the ref pic has much more bulky winter jacket). I would say it might be in arena but his clothes don't look right, so let's not specify the place or circumstances :D. I think I like these more than the Katniss sketches (likeness-wise), though not really excited about the result. I made two more sketches so far but didn't colour them yet, so maybe somewhen next time... :)
I was re-reading Hunger Games trilogy lately (well, listening to audiobooks to be precise), so I've thought I could try to draw Katniss. Not the movie version (though I think she looks good there), but I don't have an exact vision of her, so I can't even say how well I managed or not. When I finished sketches, the crouching one seemed better to me, after colouring the standing one seems to be looking more like "my" Katniss, but none of them is quite right. But never mind, I'm quite happy with the drawings anyway. Just don't study the hands too closely. And the colouring is done with the same messy not-thinking-of-it-too-much way as I did with previous sketches of Remus (and Sirius) Pose ref for the standing one by @jookpubstock (the picture was a bit high perspective, but in my drawing she ended up just falling back lol) Pose ref for the crouching one by @null-entity
I guess I could try Peeta next time, though it's gonna be even more difficult because he doesn't have such typical features as braided hair and a bow.

(well probably not, it looks stupid enough for no ref work. I mean it looks stupid because I tried to draw big and kinda scary dog and it ended up like... well, like this. *shrugs*). I drew the sketches somewhen last month I think, but then decided to colour them, but without any fuss, I didn't even erase the pencil lines, I just went over it with fineliners, some markers and colour pencils. Most of the time without big thinking about it. I had a great fun and I really like how it turned out, so I've thought I could post it too :). I put original pencil sketches at the end. (I'll post the second part after Easter)

This time only Remus, but in colour. Well, it looks rather weird with (almost completely) white background, but I was afraid to make it too dark and screw the whole picture, so... next time maybe. Otherwise I think it turned out nice, also thanks to great ref pic by @jookpubstock <3 Coloured with Derwent Inktense.
Besides making my crochet Remus I of course thought of some drawing as well but didn't want to think about a scene or a pose or something until lately. Though (of course) I was silly enough to pick a reference picture that - although it made me think of Marauders right away but I could hardly find something more complicated (I mean four people sitting so close to each other?). Also, it's great to have a ref picture with people dressed in tight suits so you can see all body parts properly but when you have to put normal clothes on them... eh. Funny that after all these years I just drew them the way I used to draw them. Maybe except of Peter. Now to decide if I should try to colour it somehow or just leave it as it is to not ruin the thing. Third Doctor dragon for today Smaugust sketch. I said about yesterday drawing's colouring that it's messy, well, this is much worse I think, heh. I wanted to refer to one of his outfits when he has the green jacket, but it didn't work multicoloured (even more greens as you can see), so it ended up looking... the way you see it's looking ahem. Anyway, generally I like this one much more, he's got a great dragon shape that I didn't manage to do in a long time - if ever - and just apart of the colour, I'm pretty satisfied with the result.
First drawing of my Smaugust this year. I'm not following anyone's prompt list, I just wrote down a list of things/themes I'd like to draw if I get to it and we'll see, how many of them I'll manage to do. One of the themes I wrote down is dragons inspired by my favourites Doctors (from Doctor Who). You might remember I drew First Doctor dragon two years ago (really, it's so long ago!) and here's Fifth Doctor one. He didn't turn out as great as One but not bad after all. I had no clue how to colour him though, so it's kinda messy. Also non-existing background strikes again. I didn't think the Tardis interior would fit his cricket equipment and didn't want to draw grass either so... yeah, grey smudges it is :D.

For March challenge (Manga) over at @Inkblot-Splatter group on Deviantart. I was wondering which Sailor Moon character I could draw and what pose to choose for them and then I thought - hey, why not try to draw Thirteen in manga style? And I admit I had much more fun doing it than I expected I would :D. And I think she turned out lovely even though she doesn't look much like herself. Or does she?
"I can charm the nightingales out of the trees!" Every now and then this scene appears on my dash and every time I've thought - someone should draw it. Until now I finally gathered the courage to try it myself, though in my case there's no chance more than usual 5 or 7 people will see it. Anyway, I'm quite happy with how it turned out :) I have no idea why the trousers look green, they're grey and brown in real, but I didn't manage to do anything about it in PC without ruining colours of the rest, so it better be green trousers than blue One.
