This painting was inspired by this trend on Twitter. So many other talented artists have done their take on this and I just had to bring my vision to life.
"Viewing the World Upside-Down"
I created this piece in my hotel room. While I was away from home, I was missing my cats. I found a reference photo in my phone to use for this artwork. The reference for this was a bit overexposed, but I like what it did for the background colors. One of my cats loves to lie on her back, and I will often lie on the floor with her. Together, we enjoy viewing the world upside-down. She gets really excited when I do this. It's one of the ways we have bonded together.
This artwork is a mixed media piece that I created using Derwent Inktense water-soluble pencils and pans, Prismacolor colored pencils, a white Posca pen, and a white gel pen on 140 lb / 300 g watercolor paper, size 5x5 inches.

The background is actually a fountain pen ink (Kala Nostalgia Abstraction Spring Rain, iirc), and I believe the rest of the colors are actually Inktense pencils
