⊰ ✨ ⊱ – There is a soft intake of breath. Downturned lips part, as if words would brush past the tip of his tongue. And yet, nothing comes. Doomstar wills his tongue to still itself, staving off a swift counter statement; instead, he can only gaze at the young fire mage. His expression is akin to a mask – hiding the truth that lies beneath. His eyes remain fixated upon the girl as he slowly releases his breath. He understood how she felt, where she was coming from. He’d been there too, long ago. Losing loved ones was never easy. It couldn’t be. He knows.

WHETHER WORDS WERE to be wisdom , or BLIND TRUST ( as she saw it ) in that moment her mind was focused in the last sentence the older mage spilled. Her own lips parted slightly after her head had automatically reacted... turning to stare at him with eyes that communicated disbelief and curiosity at the same time. It was well known in their world of the diversity of ORIGIN ; however , it was until now that she gave it too much thought. Yet–––
