Gaston snapped to attention with perhaps a little too much ceremony for a boy his age. The sword in his hand may have been wooden (it was a training thing, created for the boys as yet too young to study as Squires; more padding and cheap birch than actual blade), his surroundings little more than a courtyard alcove, but his manner seemed intent on pretending otherwise. He didn’t quite bow, but there was a definite sobriety– a sharp rise to the chin, and a respectful lack of eye contact– that suggested the Pages had been given some very stern instructions on How To Address The Visiting Lady. And Gaston was a boy who always followed instruction.  

Even so, there was a slight wobble to the lips, the faintest widening of the eyes with each breath, an almost imperceptible tremor about Gaston’s whole posture; He’d never been taught how to talk to women. He didn’t know how to talk to women. Nobody had ever told him-

“My…Lady…” his voice hadn’t broken yet, not quite. 

“I…hadn’t expected….”

"It's fine Gaston, you can stand comfortable." The young fairy stood before him with a warm smile, a hand placed on the grown visible baby belly below her turquoise gown. 

She was used to be treated with respect, though Blue was also aware of when it was time to let a child be just a child - from her experience with another boy who was only a few years younger than him. 

“No,” Archie said after a moment of consideration. He had been lucky, really, and perhaps Blue did not intend to purpose such a curse. He shook his head, “I have …You have given me a chance to live more than I ever did before you changed me. I like my life too much now. Good job,” Archie smiled softly.

“Could I have?” Archie seemed genuinely curious and somewhat doubtful. He had a lot of close calls in Storybrooke and an even closer one in the Enchanted Forest. The Blue Fairy had given him longer life, he would die until Geppetto no longer needed him. That protected him against Geppetto not wanting him as well.

“Shortly after I found Geppetto, after you change me into a cricket…” Archie gave a small shrug. Even that hurt. But her healing powers had reduced the swelling of one of his eyes, the scrapes against his forehead. “He crushed me. He didn’t want anything to do with me after I managed to tell him what I had done. I tried to apologize and vowed to help him. He hit me with a hammer. I felt it. Everything. But after a while I woke up and it was as if nothing happened.”

She tilted her head as she attentively listened to his memories. The smile on her features softly growing upon Archie's curiosity. "We both knew it would not become an easy task to let him become fond of your company." Blue eventually stated, mysterious as usual while letting her finger tips gently touch his cheek.
