Lol anyway!!! Tumblr tells me I haven’t been on here in 38 days

This week I…

- went to Pilates for the first time. My core hurts in a good way

- read a lot!!

-found a wedding photographer

-saw my family, went to a theatre festival

And next week I will…

-use a bday gift card to go to a fancy dinner!!

-get shit DONE at work

-get photos of my quilt that I finished

-manifest and speak some affirmative words into myself :)

This time of year is always a strange mix of feelings. Yesterday I got back from a week of being away from home, the first few days were spent with casimir’s family at his mom’s house and my mom came down for the 25th and met his mom for the first time. It was nice but definitely overwhelming. It’s funny to have ppl I’ve known for 7 years that I consider fam meet my parent. How my mil is with her home, hosting, etc is so different from what I grew with. My mom is extremely boisterous, doesn’t cook and is a ho*rder. My mil made this big breakfast Xmas morning at had lists of everything that had to be cooked, at was temp, how long it would take etc. And my mom would just come in yelling stories that had nothing to do with anything while everyone’s in work mode and asking what ratio of orange juice to prosecco she should pour. I just felt like yelling read the room!! I love my mom but I wish she would slow down and I wish I could spend 48h with her without getting overwhelmed. My mil told my bf I understand why clara’s so quiet after my mom left 🙄 which I don’t love but I get. My mom has always been like this
