SWOT Analysis of my Animation
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Evaluation
Strengths Â
Successfully created a full solo project with a clear narrative and completed animation.Â
Adaptability in learning and using Procreate Dreams quickly, despite not having access to industry-standard software.Â
Strong commitment and perseverance, producing a 2 min 40 sec animation, which shows determination and creative discipline.Â
Gained valuable new skills in animation techniques, workflow, and problem-solving.Â
Weaknesses
Limited access to professional software like Toon Boom Harmony reduced opportunities to practice industry-standard workflows.Â
Time management challenges meant the animation was left uncoloured, affecting visual polish and final presentation.Â
Working solo created extra workload—no chance for collaboration, feedback, or shared responsibilities.Â
Some technical aspects of Procreate Dreams may have restricted efficiency compared to more robust animation programs.Â
Opportunities
Ability to refine and expand the project in the future by colouring and adding finishing touches.Â
Skills gained in Procreate Dreams can be applied to other creative projects (illustration, motion graphics, indie animation).Â
Portfolio growth: a completed short animation (nearly 3 minutes) can be showcased in applications, festivals, or job opportunities.Â
Opportunity to transition later to Toon Boom Harmony or other industry-standard tools with a strong foundation already built.Â
Threats
Industry expectations often favour polished, coloured, and fully-rendered animations, which may limit initial reception.Â
Technology limitations (lack of access to Harmony or other software) may continue to restrict future project scope.Â
Solo work can lead to creative burnout and missed opportunities for networking/collaboration.Â
Time constraints in future projects might affect quality if not managed more effectively.Â
