WIP

Vioull didn’t try to avoid it. He hit the ground pretty hard and sustained some pretty bad injuries to his face and torso. “Have your fun, Derian.” he said as he disappeared and reformed directly in front of the phantom’s face. He smiled and waved at him as his injuries started closing up.

“Well... If the person with that specific part of me decided to stab it or something, I’d die. Nothing you do to the rest of me will kill me.” He smirks. “I can handle quite a lot of pain. I’ve been through so much of it in my life, but that’s inevitable when you’ve been alive for thousands of years.”

“I’m sure you do. Most people wouldn’t mess with things like me, but it seems some people do it anyway...” He rubs the stitches on his chest. Someone else had decided to attack him, and they seemed to have succeeded for now. “What are your reasons, Derian?”

Once he was pinned, Vioull attempted to bite Derian. It was mostly just to see if he could while he had the chance. His entire body turned solid black and he seemed to fade away, but he reappeared shortly after on the roof of the apartments. “Most people avoid playing with venomous things.”

“So, how’d you grow to such a massive size? How big are the others?” Oddly, Vioull had no intent of attacking and little to no intent of defending. Perhaps it was because he didn’t feel threatened, or maybe he was too intrigued. His extra arms were at his sides and the threads were just uselessly swaying in the wind.

Vioull got a pretty bad looking wound on his face when he hit the ground, but he got up acting just fine. “You’re huge!” he exclaims with an excited tone. He floats upward and hovers in the air. “I don’t think I’ve seen anything like you before. Certainly not this big. What are you?” Something red runs from one of his eyes. He’s trembling, but not from fear.

Vioull followed Derian out of curiosity. He wanted to see what this person really was. He accepted that was probably about to get badly hurt, and honestly didn’t really care. He thought this place was for humans, so seeing something like this was incredibly interesting. He was also oddly curious about what this being would do to him. Something terrible, no doubt. Several threads with needles at the ends made their appearance, also coming directly out of Vioull’s body.

Vioull’s hands withdrew when Derian stepped away. He stood up and tilted his head. “I’m darkness. What is darkness but nothingness?” He held his arms out and four more solid black arms came out under them, leaving him with six arms in total. “Sadly, the thing you must hit to kill me is not on my person at the moment. You’ll have to try again later, I guess.”

At first, it seemed to do something. Blood was certainly coming out of his neck, an alarming about. He didn’t seem to care though, and placed his hand over the slice. “I may not be dying, but that’s still uncomfortable.” He took his hand away after a few moments and the wound was closing. “Oh well, looks like that way won’t work. What now, Derian?”

Luckily for Derian, Vioull’s figure could faintly be made out now that he wasn’t concealed by his cloak. He was silent, still, and his eyes were closed, since he could watch in other ways. Honestly, he wasn’t so sure why he wished to see this person’s intention rather than “wake up” and potentially avoid a bad situation. There wasn’t a bit of fear in him though.

“Thank you.” Vioull waited a few moments, making sure that Derian was gone. He used one of his currently invisible arms to turn the light off. His cloak lost its physical form, and he used it to darken the room even more. Despite the area being nearly pitch black, he could still see quite well. It was risky though, because he’d have to think of an explanation if Derian returned before he fixed it.

“No, I’m alright. It’s sadly a familiar feeling... I’ve had worse with less help.” He looked sad for a moment. “There’s still a few hours of the night left. Maybe you should get what rest you can? I’ll be fine here.” Vioull didn’t actually need to sleep. He had something to do to occupy himself for the rest of the night though.
