Jessica and I have been friends for more than 15 years now. After years of traveling the world, she finally married her long-time friend Brad and started her beautiful family. Surprise - both of her daughters have Jess's trademark red locks. Seeing Eva and Ilah tromp around the zoo was like watching Jessica and I if we'd been childhood friends.

Where's Ilah?

Ilah loves Martin Luther King Jr. She has always connected with his messages of hope, justice, and care for our communities. I see his legacy of peace whenever she helps others or cleans up her world with gusto.

Ilah and Naomi are two peas in a pod. I met Naomi's mother Vina through a local Nia class, and then the girls danced together at Miss Jenna's class. Naomi is a sweet, adventurous, and empathetic girl who loves pink and purple and mermaids - just like Ilah!

Ilah took the dance class last winter and enjoyed the creative movement. She is now in Kindergarten with her dance colleagues Claire and Judah (and Ilah is looking at Judah's little sister Hazel who is Nyjah's age in this pic). February 2013.
