wow I’ve never seen a machine like that, but apparently their TMNT is the same way! Wonder if this was like a UK thing or otherwise outside the US?
Yeah it’s an Australian cabinet. The MCA sticks are the giveaway for the non Australians among us :)
ah thanks! and upon further inspection I noticed the coin door is totally unlike anything I’ve seen on cabs in the US or Japan, too!
I used to have a cabinet almost identical to the green one but with only two sticks, actually! It was very big, unsurprisingly - there’s also a small credit counter on the front underneath the monitor (red LED). I think X-Men was briefly sold in these cabinets too.
Not sure why the coin door is so big though. I never had the key for the back of my cab but PCBs fit comfortably through the front. The coin box wasn’t particularly big. Probably just laziness in design - Leisure and Allied made these cabs I assume because it was far cheaper than importing foreign cabinets which would be the wrong voltage anyway.
