With a face just as unreadable Ogata stares back. He’s fairly sure he could easily kill the woman here and now but…. The nature of the City is troublesome. He might only be rid of her for a short while before she’d be venturing out, spreading stories of a man that snapped her neck…. 

Does she know already? He certainly can’t pick it up from her face. His own behaviour might turn out to be telltale for something being off but waking up after death certainly serves the same purpose.

“ …..you really are one hell of a woman “, Ogata answers with laugh in his tone. 

“But bluffing can only take you so far don’t you think?  “

“It does not take much to kill a man. You probably know that better than myself.” Both were quite the amused pair in regard their respective threats. Though there was no gain in becoming a murderer, Inkarmat was willing to stain her hands for Wilk’s name. He had dared to harm the remnant of her past, a beloved man that allowed her to be more than a mere orphan. 

However, she cannot become that selfish. She accepted her role long time ago. The past must be buried, along with Wilk. His legacy was for Asirpa to carry, not her. She only can aid her.

If this man was away from Asirpa, that was already a certain victory for a short while. 

       “ what’s supposed to happen on april first that’s so bad? ” he hasn’t heard of anything besides the day with eggs hidden all around, but he doesn’t like the sound of ‘misfortune’ happening on that day either.

He nods  “There’s nothing in the past to see, just files and military records I’ve read one too many times, all bullshit.”

He stares at her, stern and quiet for a brief moment- she looks so sure of herself, maybe just maybe she is a truthful holder of the power she asserts, only one way to find out.

“The future, can you see that?”

“There is to see, but you do seem uninterested in it. Your sins are a tad blinding.” And now, she can leave such part behind, given his lack of interest on looking back -- she merely mentions it to show that she can definitively see through that door. 

“ Heh. More than you’ll ever know sugar.” He chuckled at her. If this was an attempt to flatter him it had worked well. That fearful expression upon her lovely face, it only made her features all the more memorable. Perhaps he’d show her just how well placed her fear of him was?

“ We’re here for YOU to tell me about myself though. ”

“Yes, forgive my rudeness. I will focus now.” 

What a terrifying creature. Only the Gods knew what he was but he was far from human. In what sense? Again, she feared to tell and for that, decided to remain silent. Only this time, she will keep her lips shut down.

Chills ran down her spine, even her figure trembled as the fox skull was placed on her head.  

   “The truth of my heart. How exciting!”

   He shifts from side to side. “I’m sorry to say that you’re wrong, though. I’m not hiding anything. I’m just a happy dark mage! I don’t have anything to hide… I’m quite the open book.”

“Am I? My apologies, I only speak what I see.” Closed eyelids open wide, revealing a piercing gaze that may or may not see far more than what it should. 

Ava could not help but watch with rapt attention, nor could she prevent a soft noise of wonder escape her lips at the woman’s presentation. The animal skull did not disturb her, she had seen much more… graphic things in her past. Instead, it only added to Ava’s curiosity.

“Divination…”

“… So, you can see into the future?”

Well, Ava had trusted far more suspicious individuals before; what was the harm here?

“Yes, exactly what you say.” Wether others believed in her powers or not, it was up to them. Inkarmat was often right in her predictions and sometimes, feared them. Knowing what the future will depart is not exactly a blessing.

“ Kill me? And just how are you going to do that? “ Ogata gives a laugh. 

“ The matagi isn’t here to guard you now.  “

“Don’t compare me to the likes of you.” Her soft smile remains, accentuated by the hand placed over her cheek. It was as if this conversation was as carefree as her expression. “You are working for Kiroranke right now, though I’m not sure if you will come to betray him. But I can’t overlook him nor the man that killed Wilk. In due time you will pay.” 

One can assume she was bluffing but the calm in her voice doesn’t reveal enough. Fate was not on anyone’s side, she merely could tell what was bound to happen and even then --
