VANISHING

𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐃 𝐈𝐒 𝐓𝐖𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐈𝐍 𝐒𝐋𝐎𝐖, 𝐘𝐄𝐓 𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐈𝐃 𝐗-𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐄𝐃 𝐌𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒.  she can’t help but wonder...   did this one pose much of a threat?  she was a meta-human,  hence how she flew her way to jade’s elevation.  fast,  strong,  she was the complete package.  but jade knew her way around a meta-human.  she’d been trained by the very best,  in preparation for any leaguer that came her way.  she was actually honored they thought so highly at her,  to be sending her newer  &  newer sidekicks.  or was she no longer going by that title?  cheshire didn’t care.  all she knew,  was that she would be victorious.

𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐏𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐓, 𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐒 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐈𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐄𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐉𝐀𝐃𝐄 𝐀 𝐊𝐄𝐘.  although she’d never admit it,  she could see why her  &  wally decided to settle down in this cute neighborhood.  it was calming,  the people that lived here were all kind  &  welcoming,  it was safe.  she wondered when it would be her sister’s turn to actually settle down  &  start a family of her own.  with lian wrapped tightly in one of jade’s arms,  her other twisting the key into the knob,  she entered the house to see brucely wide awake.  he leapt off the couch,  barking viciously at her until he sniffed at her shoes for a few seconds.  jade rolled her eyes.  that dog just didn’t like her,  did he?  must know that jade herself wasn’t much of a dog person.

                    lian was somehow still fast asleep,  which would make leaving her here a lot easier.  she expected to see her sister enter,  but instead was greeted by her longtime boyfriend.  he wasn’t the biggest fan of jade,  but he accepted her for artemis’ sake.  how cute they were.  jade actually was looking forward to having a new brother figure in the next years or so.  she smirked,  placing her infant daughter in the crib artemis    (  or maybe wally did it himself  )     set out for her.

HER EYES NARROWED TO MERE slits as she met his gaze. jade could not put her finger on it, but there was something about this guy that she just took so much PRIDE in making him snap. the way his shoulders rose and his biceps tensed up just by a mere BLINK of her eyes was enough of a give away to understand the type of EFFECT she had on him. her mouth curved upward into a devilish smirk.

MASKED, LITHE, SILENT—–the hairs on the back of her neck rise in warning as she flips around, GLARING into the shadows.  she could nearly smell the danger in the air, thick and cloying in its warning.  “—well, look at you.  are you dealing with a magic user, a terrible boy toy, or EXCESSIVE BOREDOM?”  @iimpasive

SHE WAS IMPRESSED. NOT MANY were able to detect cheshire when she was in PURSUIT. yet jinx did — and not only did she know almost IMMEDIATELY, but she knew exactly who it was. admittedly, she was TOUCHED to leave such an impression. it was always good to be known.
